Logan was in the kitchen. Cooking. Because when you were in a kitchen, working with a blender, you could call it cooking. Even if the result was more beverage-y than food-y. It was practically summer, anyway. Perfect time for a cold iced drink. With tequila.

The television was playing "Annie".

Buffy looked puzzled. "No, I'm from LA."

"Ah, cool!" Logan said, giving her a quick appreciative look. "I'm from SoCal, too. Neptune, actually."

"Ah, home of the rich and famous!" Buffy nodded, giving him a discrete lookover. "Which are you?"

"Rich," Logan said with a shrug, hoping she hadn't seen Tinseltown Diaries lately. "Do you surf? There's some decent waves around here."

Buffy shook her head. "No, but I tan really well! Hey, does it ever get warm here? Like, bathing suit warm?"

"Oh yeah," Logan said. "Humid, too. There's also a pool in the basement for the cold days."

"Awesome!" Buffy beamed. "Didn't bring my bikini for nothing then!"

"Alas, no," Logan said, with genuine regret. "I'm leaving tomorrow."

"Oh bummer," Buffy said sympathetically. "Molly told me this is the best school ever, and it kind of seems like it is."
