Logan was in the kitchen. Cooking. Because when you were in a kitchen, working with a blender, you could call it cooking. Even if the result was more beverage-y than food-y. It was practically summer, anyway. Perfect time for a cold iced drink. With tequila.

The television was playing "Annie".

"Archery, huh?" Xander tilted his head. "I'm not too great with the projectile weaponry, myself. I'd probably be a disaster in that class."

"Never had need to shoot a bow and arrow," Bel said, "but figured it would be fun to learn. So where are you from?"

"Most recently? Briarwood, California. Australia before that. What about you?"

"Australia, huh?" Bel said. "For some reason people sometimes think I'm from there, too, but I'm from San Francisco or thereabouts."

"The big city, huh?" Xander said. "Cool. Briarwood's more of a... one street town."

"How'd you end up here?" Bel asked.

"Would you believe a combination of a ham sandwich and magical plant food?"

Bel laughed. "Given what I've seen here, that doesn't sound all that unreasonable."

"Never take food that's been offered to you by a sorceress-in-training named Clare." Xander informed Bel.

"Got it," Bel said. "Never eat the food in the cafeteria around here unless you want something similar to happen."
