Gym, early Saturday

It was very early on Saturday morning, so hopefully there wouldn't be anybody else around in the gym. She needed to work out some frustration, preferably without being recognized by more people she had never seen before in her life.

She pulled out the mats, laying them down at a decent distance from each other, then stepped onto on one and thought for a moment.

Max shrugged and said, "Didn't think you were. Everyone's got their own business, you know?"

"Yes, absolutely, business, their own," Joxer sputtered. "My stuff hasn't been getting in the way at all, has it?"

"It's fine," she said, slowly, watching him. "You know, Jox, you gotta learn to relax. So much built up tension isn't good for you."

Joxer's shoulders went down slightly as he calmed a bit. "Just kinda nervous, having to, you know, live with a girl."

"Don't worry. I won't jump you in the night or anything," Max said, patting him on the shoulder. "I don't sleep that much anyway."

Joxer swallowed. "And I won't do any jumping of any sort, either" Joxer said. He was sweating a little.

Max patted him once more on the shoulder and said, "Tai Chi. Would be good for you, Jox. Look into it." She tossed him a clean hand towel from her bag and moved off.
