Gym, early Saturday

It was very early on Saturday morning, so hopefully there wouldn't be anybody else around in the gym. She needed to work out some frustration, preferably without being recognized by more people she had never seen before in her life.

She pulled out the mats, laying them down at a decent distance from each other, then stepped onto on one and thought for a moment.

"Tell me about it," Dean said, thinking Aeryn was a girl after his own heart. "I usually do at least some target shooting every other day or so. I was not happy to give up my guns when I got here."

"Did they just go into the weapons locker?" she asks. "We have a Gun Club here. There's even an arms dealer in town."

"Really?"

"It's called Blood Gulch Arms. It's run by Tex. Very large, in an armor suit. She's impossible to miss," she says. "I could show you sometime."

"I'd like that, thanks," Dean said with a genuine smile. "So how does one go about joining the gun club?"

"I think Parker and Marty co-run it," she says. "Radio said he was gone for a while, but Parker's around, as far as I know. You could try talking to one of them."

"Yeah, I met Parker a couple of nights ago. She's... an interesting woman."

"She's a good person to have at your side," Aeryn tells him. "Trust me."

"Oh, I got that impression, definitely." He grinned. "I'm getting the same impression about you too."

Aeryn smiles back. "You are a quick learner."

"I try." He paused, then asked curiously, "So, what kind of gun do Sabaceans in space use?"

"Pulse weapons. I've seen those lazer guns on TV shows. That's probably the best comparison," she says.

"You have no idea how jealous I am right now."

She grins and says, "I might let you try one. Might."

"Really? Because that would seriously -- seriously -- make my day. Hell, probably my entire week." He paused. "I'm not sure what I'd have to offer you that could compare. You're welcome to try any of guns or knives, but they probably would seem... primitive to you."
