2nd Floor Common Room - Sunday night

Her room was always big, but it seemed even larger and emptier now that Elizabeth was the only one in it.

So, with a blanket thrown around her shoulders and a box of chocolates in her hand, she headed to the common room and curled up in the corner of the sofa and started flicking through the channels.

Ooh, Insomnious on Lake Union. She loved this movie.

"Well, maybe it'll help if you tell me who it is?" Cally said, because tact is so -not- her middle name.

Elizabeth ducked her head, blushing slightly. "It's Janet," she said.

Cally giggled a little. "You know, given that last I talked to her, I tried to set her up with either of two boys who ended up dating each other, this is kinda totally awesome. And you two would be great together."

"You tried to set her up with Bridge and/or Xander?" Elizabeth giggled slighty herself. "She never told me that." Her blush deepened slightly. "Thanks. We are. I think, at least."

"Do I have to fight for you two to be a couple? Cause I'd totally fight for that. Literally, even. Maybe even in jell-o in front of a paying audience, if that's what it took," Cally said.

Elizabeth giggled. "I don't think you need to fight. We had the whole defining talk and stuff, so... yeah."

"Yay," Cally said, smiling. "So, yeah. Let me know how that works out. Maybe we can, like, double-date sometime or something."

Elizabeth smiled slightly. "Yeah, I will do. Although I think the prom's the only real 'official' date we've had so far. We need to work on that."

"Aww, you two went to prom together and I missed it?" Cally pouted a little. "That woulda been so adorable."

"We did, yes," Elizabeth said, blushing even more. "I'll give you prior warning before the next dance, if we're still together."

"Good," Cally said with a nod. "Meanwhile, we totally need to hang out again like we used to. 'Cause it's been too long."

"Oh, I know," Elizabeth agreed. "I'm going to be here the whole summer, asides from a few tentatively planned trips, so there should hopefully be plenty of chances to hang."

"Hopefully not nights that end in getting handcuffed to your bed, though," Cally said. "Wouldn't want Janet getting jealous."

"Anders too," Elizabeth added, grinning.

"Pfft," cally said, waving a hand. "He'll be too busy thinking about baseball players to notice."

Elizabeth laughed. "A new obsession on top of his pyramid one?" she asked. "You poor girl!"

"Yeah," Cally said, shaking her head. "There's a reason I'm trying to get out more."

"Well, Janet's away for the next five days, so..." Elizabeth held out her hands. "I'm just down the hall if you want company. Not that I'm not just down there when she's back again..."

"I'll keep that in mind," Cally said. "Next time he goes off on another writing binge."

"Wait? You said he was interested in baseball players. What do baseball players have to do with writing?" Elizabeth was confused.

"Ummm," Cally glanced around. "Anders writes about baseball players. Doing things that don't have a lot to do with baseball."

"Oh. Oh!" Elizabeth's eyes widened. "Why?!"

"I don't know!" Cally flailed. "He really likes it, for some reason!"

Elizabeth just looked traumatized. "How did he get the idea to do it?! Or do I not want to know?"
