2nd Floor Common Room - Sunday night

Her room was always big, but it seemed even larger and emptier now that Elizabeth was the only one in it.

So, with a blanket thrown around her shoulders and a box of chocolates in her hand, she headed to the common room and curled up in the corner of the sofa and started flicking through the channels.

Ooh, Insomnious on Lake Union. She loved this movie.

Sam wandered into the common room, in search of a glass of milk. "Hey, Elizabeth." She walked over to the fridge, opened it, peered in, and closed it again.

"No milk fairies stopped by, huh?"

"Hey, Sam," Elizabeth looked up and smiled at her. "I've got milk back in my room if you want some."

She flopped on the couch and propped up her feet. "Naah, I'm being social now. Can't you tell? What's up?"

"Chocolate?" Elizabeth offered, passing the box across. "I'm watching a sappy romance movie, and eating aforementioned chocolate. So, not much. How's things with you?"

Cally wanders in, clutching a bottle of soda.

"Yay, people I recognize," she says, before plopping down on a couch.

Elizabeth grinned, leaning her head back. "Hey there. Long time, no see. How you doing?"

"Doing pretty good," Cally said. She took a quick sip of her soda. "Haven't seen you in forever, either. How about you? Doing well?"

"Yeah, not too bad," Elizabeth said, offering the box of chocolate across. "Almost looking forward to the summer camp actually starting."

Sam waved from her spot on the couch. "Hey, Cally. Haven't seen you in forever." She grinned, but decided not to ask how Anders's writing was coming along.

"Ooh, hi Sam!" Cally waved back with a somewhat scary amount of enthusiasm. "How're you doing?"

"I'm good," Sam laughed, "Waiting for things to pick up again. Oh, I'm working on putting a motorcycle back together, if you ever want to stop by and help. I could always use a pair of hands that knows what they're doing."

"Coooooooooooooach!" Anders calls over from the armchair he's just occupied (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/579374.html?thread=32038446#t32038446). "Come get a cupcake!"

"What if I say no?" Cally shouts back.

"Greetings fellow students," Jamie said with a wave as he grabbed a spot on the sofa. "What's on the old tube tonight?"

Cally poked Jamie in the ribs with her elbow. "I don't know you," she said, narrowing her eyes.

And now there are two Jamies sitting on the couch.

Both of them sigh and look at each other.

"We really need to work on our duplication threshold," one Jamie said to the other.

The original just nodded and reabsorbed the second Jamie.

"I'm Jamie Madrox. New student. And you are...?"

Sam grinned and waved. "No tuna, you're safe."

"Excellent," Jamie replied as he kicked up his feet on the table. "How you doing Sam?"

"Hi, person I don't know," Elizabeth said. "It's a chick-flick, I'm afraid."

"Howdy! I'm Jamie Madrox. New guy. I've already heard the warnings about the weird stuff," Jamie said in a greeting type fashion. "Which chick flick? I can handle the schmoop unless it involves Tom Hanks."

Anders finally emerged from his room after a long day of Totally Not Writing, Really.

"Wow," he said, kind of groggily. "There are other people around. Who knew?"

"Anders! Hey," Elizabeth waved. "Yes, people. Around. Here."

"It's a miracle! Except it's not." Anders grinned, then smacked himself in the forehead. "Frak! Be right back."

He dashed off to 201 and returned shortly with a very large tray of assorted, and very nicely iced, cupcakes, which he put ceremoniously on a table.

"Okay. Now it's a proper common room gathering."

He stretched out in an armchair and glanced up at Elizabeth. "So how you been, Weir? Don't need to tell you you can help yourself to the cupcakes, of course."

"Hey stranger," Jamie waved in greeting. "I'm Jamie Madrox, New guy."

"There are a lot of those," Anders noted, offering a hand to him. "Nice to meet you, dude. Name's Anders, and I have cupcakes. Help yourself to 'em; that's the rule."
