Alec was big on tv, not having watched much growing up. And he liked music videos (they were shiny and didn't need a big attention span to enjoy), so when he found that there was a whole channel devoted to them? He was in as close to heaven as he was likely to get with his clothes on.

So, sitting on the couch, barefoot and with a bowl of cereal, he was pretty much glued to the set. He could do without that crappy Macarena song or so much Spice Girls though. Whoa, retro.

"Yeah, I'm a genetic mutant," Molly said. "Both of my parents were mutants. But, my powers only manifested when I was eleven."

"Huh. Well," he said slowly, weighing his options. "I'm not exactly a mutant, but I'm kinda with you on the stronger than human side." Alec didn't seem inclined to explain any further than that just yet. "Are mutants common where you come from?"

"Really?" Molly asked. "Like, how strong are you? And, yeah, mutants are pretty common. Well, they used to be anyway. Now there's only around two hundred or so. But, people are aware of them enough to be prejudiced against us."

"Three times the human norm," he said, smirking faintly. "People are usually pretty freaked about things that're different, aren't they?"

"Yeah, people are, the dumb ones anyway."

Molly smirked back at Alec. "And I could still take you," she said.

He grinned. "So how strong are we talking, exactly?"

"I don't really know, as a matter of fact," Molly said with a lift of her chin. "But, I can toss a car a good distance."

"Niiiice," he said, impressed. "The only other guy I knew could do that had four arms. I think you got a pretty good deal."

"Yeah, I think so too," Molly said.

He cocked his head a little, curious. "You ever do any sparring, Molly?"

Molly made a face and shook her head. "I'm not trained on how to fight properly. I wouldn't want to hurt anybody. There was someone who was going to show me, but he graduated before we ever could. And Aeryn has offered to teach me in a later thread, but I'm saying this conversation happened first. I have strength, but no form."

"When you're that strong, you don't need a lot of form," he said thoughtfully. "I could help, if you need. And I heal pretty quick, too, if you're worried about that."

"That could be cool," Molly said brightly. "But, the actual hitting thing... people tend to go flying across the room when I hit them. Can you handle that?"

Alec nodded. "Just maybe not more than a few times in a row," he said, grinning.

Molly grinned back. "Cool then. Should I just find you in the gym sometime?"

"Yeah, I should be around," he said. "I usually do mornings there, since I don't sleep very late."

Molly rolled her eyes. "Ugh, another morning person." She sighed. "Okay, I'll try and find you there sometime soon."
