The gym, Thursday night

It's been a pretty quiet day all around, and Aeryn spent a good part of it shopping. Which means she heads down to the gym when she has a chance, because that is much more normal.

She puts on her gloves and starts in on the bag again.


[Open. Because I'm not used to being done playing at 8 pm.]

Rory wandered in, tugging on her newly-arrived fencing gloves.

And instead of picking up a foil, she headed towards a bag.

She needed to hit something.

Aeryn watches for a moment, asking, "You all right?"

"Not really," Rory said, waving fairly cheerfully. "I remembered that one time when I was frustrated and you showed me how to hit stuff and I figured I'd try again."

She goes to offer her gloves, then sees that Rory has her own. "What happened?"

"Okay, so here's the thing. If someone says they're going to be gone for a certain amount of time, and then they're gone for a lot longer, when do you start to worry?" Rory asked, starting in on a bag with weak, half-hearted punches.

Jamie walks in and waves hi at Rory and Aeryn. True he worked out earlier today...

Or did he?

"Hey guys!"

Aeryn gives him a wave. "Hi," she says.

"So are you up for another culture-fest next week?"

"What did you have in mind?" she asks. "That was a long movie."

"I'm thinking something shorter. Like TV Shows. They are only an hour long. Have you ever seen Crime and Punishment?"

"Hi," Rory said, waving and flicking her hair off her face. "I'm hitting things!"

He may have missed that part, you see.

"Do I look like someone who hits things?"

"Appearances can be deceiving," Jamie pointed out. "You could be martial arts expert and I wouldn't know."

Molly was bored. For no reason other than she thought it might be empty, she went down to the gym. She thought about leaving again when she saw people there. But, it wasn't crowded so she decided to stay.

After waving to the others in the room, she went over to the weight and began loading up one of the bars with as many weights as it would hold.

"Hi Molly! I'm hitting things," Rory said proudly.

Nevermind that she's favoring her right wrist a little. Totally not the point.

"Hi, Rory!" Molly said with a grin. "Having fun?"

Rory nodded. "Well. Fun's not the word. But I'm hitting things!"

"Is there a reason for hitting things? Or maybe I can guess," Molly said.

Jamie gives Molly a wave from the treadmill. "Hey Molly."

Molly waved back. "Hi, Jamie."

"How are you doing today?"

Aeryn nods back at her, and stands by to watch, just because she's curious.

After loading all 210 lbs. onto the bar, Molly picked it up with one hand and did a few curls with it.

"What's the most you've been able to do?" Aeryn wonders.
