The Gym - Late Friday Morning

Because what was a morning without going to the gym?  Peter wasn't sure he wanted to find out.

So he headed down there after getting up and started his warm up.  After a few minutes, he began running through sword drills working his way from the easiest forms to the most difficult he knew.

Alec had dragged himself out of the room, where he'd already been awake a while, and down to the gym. He hadn't gone in a few days and it was definitely somewhere to at least keep busy.

He was a bit distracted by Peter though, having not watched much actual swordfighting before. So he stood by and decided to watch a bit.

Peter noticed Alec out of the corner of his eye and brought his sword up in salute.

After making breakfast for the fifth floor common room, Pip wandered down to the gym. "Huh," he said as he entered. "New guy with a sword."

Alec saluted back (with his hand, lacking a sword), grinning. "Morning. Is that a standard way of fighting where you come from?"

"Good morning, Alec," Peter replied with a smile. "And it is. Otherwise the shield gets lonely."

Peter paused and bowed. "I usually go by Peter."

Pip nodded. "Pip Bernadette. I see we have another limey in our midst. I'm sure Seras and Walter will be pleased."

Breakfast finished, shower accomplished, and dressed for training, Sakurazaki is also en route to the gym. Walking in and seeing the glint of a sword creates a strong desire within her to just turn around and leave, unsure if she's going to be able to handle being around a sword and not desperately wanting to use it, even if it is a Western style one, but she sharply tells herself to get over it. Maybe Ojou-sama will change her mind, and she could be in here doing that too...she's a little fascinated, though, and it's generally hard to keep her eyes away from accessing the young man's style (obviously Western...) while she finds a spot where she can properly stretch, going through a few excerizes to balance her chi.

"Did it fix back up okay?" Alec managed to look completely, innocently curious.

Pip turned around to see Pippi at the door. "You really shouldn't be working out when you're injured," he said.

"I'm just... Hanging out. I can do that... in a gym."

Alec smiled at her as he left Peter to do his warm-up stretches. Just because he could heal a strain quickly didn't mean it wouldn't hurt like hell.

Sakurazaki catches the smile as she pushes the flat, verticle palm of her right hand across her body with a deep breath, standing only on her left leg, and returns it with a smile and a nod without disturbing her balance.

Pip nodded. " 'Course. If you need me, I'll be at the bag."

Sam knew he needed to go to the gym more often, and he figured today would be a good day to start being more regular about it, especially since it looked like he wouldn't be working out alone.

"Oh, you know, a bit of polish and buffing, and it was as good as new," Peter said, barely fooled by the innocent act.

"You would be correct though I've not met Walter at all. You one of our French 'cousins?'" Peter asked, paying attention not to use term 'Frog' instead.

Peter saluted Sam as he came in. "G'Morning."

Noticing Pippi, Peter pauses and bows to her.

Pippi curtsies back before sitting down.

"Don't let me interrupt you."

Peter bowed to the young woman as she came in.

"You're not, certainly," Peter replied. "But I don't think I've had the honour of meeting you. I'm Peter Pevensie."
