The Gym - Late Friday Morning

Because what was a morning without going to the gym?  Peter wasn't sure he wanted to find out.

So he headed down there after getting up and started his warm up.  After a few minutes, he began running through sword drills working his way from the easiest forms to the most difficult he knew.

"You're not, certainly," Peter replied. "But I don't think I've had the honour of meeting you. I'm Peter Pevensie."

"Ah, you must be the English Peter I've heard so much about on the radio!" she said smiling at him. "I'm Pippi, Pippi Longstocking. Is there something you'd rather be called other then 'English Peter'?"

"It's lovely to meet you, Pippi. And I'm pretty good with just Peter," he said with a grin. "Unless, of course, there's the possibility of getting mixed up with any of the other Peters. Then 'English Peter' might be the way to go."

"Charmed I'm sure." she says. "Okay, just Peter since I don't see any other Peter's around. I take it you're from England then... Hence the whole 'English Peter' thing. Have you been properly warned about various things then? Give me your list of things you've been warned about thus far."

"Let me think," Peter said. "Zombies, snowmonsters, clothes-stealing washing machines, little baby rabbits, the possibility of becoming 4, vampires, boykissy, crazy ducks, and cafeteria food. Also I have formulated a plan for negotiating with ducks if they invade - only goose pate will be on the menu." He said, laughing. "Think that about covers it?"

"That does sound like a good plan." She said. "I think you're missing the warning about the locker... But it hasn't eaten anybody for a while."

"Is this a literal eating or figurative? If it's literal, I implore you to tell me the locker number as well," Peter laughed.

"Six to one," she said holding up one hand, "Half a dozen of the other." holding up the other hand.

"327 is the number." Pippi mused, "Unless I am mistaken. Though it never gave me any trouble, even when Walter and I want looking for it."

"It could know that discretion is the better part of valor, perhaps?" Peter suggested.

"Walter seemed to think it was playing with us. I guess it was trying to teach us something about looking for trouble, because it held our attention long enough to get noticed by the Principal of the time. We got detention before classes even started."

"Do you think that's a record?" Peter asked with a grin. "And Walter, he's the one who's another Brit, right?"

"You would think that it would be wouldn't you? But no, some other people managed to get it a few days before us. We were sore disappointed." Pippi grinned.

"And yes. Walter is from London. 1940's London. I'm from Sweden and as far as I can tell present day. And yourself?"

"Guess you'll have to find another record to break if you haven't already! Though I would have been awfully disappointed as well. Who beat you to it?"

"I'm from 1940 London as well," Peter said slowly. "I didn't know there were any others here from then." He smiled at Pippi again, "Sweden? Has it been a big change?"

"Fellow by the name of Solo." She said, "And some people who went skinny dipping in the pool."

"From Vemmerby, yes, Fandom is very different. Before I settled down on the family estate though I traveled the world with my Papa on his ship. I think it's safe to say that this place is unique in it's own way."

"I think it would be safe to agree with you about that. Was your father a naval captain then?" Peter asked.

"Oh no." Said Pippi, "I don't think anybody in my family has ever been in an official organized navy. Longstockings are pirates mostly."

"I didn't realis there were still pirates on the high seas," Peter said. "Do you plan to follow your father in the family profession?"
