Squirrel campfire, Sunday night

Nadia's put together a small campfire and sits watching it. It's weird, since camp is pretty much the total opposite of the urban setting she grew up in, but sitting by a fire in the dark like this, without a television or anything around, makes her kind of miss Buenos Aires. Just give her a few less trees, a few more drunken people, and some trash on the ground, and she'd practically be home.

She's not sure how she feels about that.

"If you don't want to cook your own marshmellow Demyx, I'll do it for you."

Walter came back with a handful of neatly cut sticks. "Some people like to set them on fire." No, he wasn't smirking at Demyx as he said that and handed him a stick.

"I recommend just toasting them."

Nadia pulled out her leatherman to sharpen her stick, then put the bare end in the fire to sanitize it. Once that was done, she popped a marshmellow on and held it towards the flames.

"Don't put it all the way in, and wait until the outside is just a little bit brown."

"Huh...okay." Demyx accepted the stick, blushing a little at the fire comment. "I'm not going to light it on fire. I promise. But...maybe it'd be a good idea if you did it for me, Pippi." He leaned back slightly. "I wouldn't want to go falling into the fire pit or anything..."

"I'm sure you'll do fine. You got the length of your stick between you and the fire." she said. "But I'll do one for ya first and then you can try if you want. You want to try it crispy first or toasty?"

Walter finished passing out sticks and found a spot near Nadia. "Who has a workshop tomorrow?"

"Not I," said the duck Nadia. "Mine are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays."

"Yeah, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for me too." Demyx smiled. "Please, Pippi, if it isn't too much trouble. What way do you like yours? Because I'll try it that way first."

"Tuesdays and Thursdays mostly. But Beach activities are Fridays." Pippi said.

"I like 'em burnt." she grinned at him.

She took two sticks and followed Nadia's example of sharpening and sticking the ends into the fire.

She stuck a marshmallow on each stick and placed them both directly into the fire. Once they caught, she took them out and let them burn free, turning the sticks to the flames blackened all around with just a little white left.

Then she blew them out without bringing them up to her lips and offered one to Demyx.

"Eat the whole thing quickly before it cools to much. I know it was just on fire, but it's not to hot to eat now."

Too bad Pip and Nadia were still at odds, but they still had half the cabin out for marshmallows.

"We're going to have to do something with the days we aren't workshopping." No adventures, whispered through his head. No, no adventures, maybe just minor enterprise or excursion. Just a little twist can get past someone's imposed will, he'd recently learned.

"I saw a movie about summer camps on TV," Nadia mentioned. "Something about 'panty raids'. And running boxers up the flag pole. That could be interesting,"

"I don't think I have a great need for panties... I'm pretty sure I packed enough... Why should we raid for them? Did you forget yours Nadia?"

"For fun. A prank."

"What's with the fascination with underwear?" Demyx bit into his marshmallow, surprised at how it went everywhere. "Wah! It's all gooey!"

Walter snorted and turned his attention to Nadia. "I...would prefer to be a raider than a raidee."

"Well, of course. What good is raiding your own cabin?" Nadia raised an eyebrow, popping her now golden brown marshmallow into her mouth.

She yawned. Healing was all well and good, but that didn't mean she wasn't still tired. "It'll be fun."

Pippi had popped the whole marshmallow in her mouth to avoid such issues. She also avoids making any inappropriate jokes no matter how much Demyx sets himself up for one. ;)

"Of course silly," she said with her mouth full, "I burnenated it." She offered him a hanky.
