Gym, Afternoon

It occured to Pip that he had forgotten to work out yesterday. Very bad of him.

He's making it up today, though. After lifting some weights, he selected the full body bag and started hitting.

"Nope," Pip said. "Not really. Just kind of amusing. Well, Gwynn, I wouldn't worry too much about what you wear. And talk to the girls later. Believe me, I'm completely useless in these situations."

Gwynn sighed and then nodded.

"I'll ask the girls tonight, then, Pip. I trust you so I wanted to ask you because you're a man and men are supposed to have opinions on these things."

Her voice dropped a little bit. "Maybe this is just wasting valuable time. There are several girls here who seem to know what fashion is and will attract his eye." She swung her sword again.

Too bad Pip didn't realize that he might have gained someone who looked to him for advice and help.

"Well..." Pip sighed and scratched the back of his head. "Alright, I'll tell you what I do know. It's not an awful lot." He gestured for her to come closer.

Gwynn nodded and came closer to Pip so they could talk in closer proximity without shouting across the gym.

"Alright, first things first? The world of the shiny books bares little to no resemblance to the real world."

"They don't?"

Pip shook his head. "Not at all. It's kind of a... fantasy perfect world. Closed environment. All those women? Have massive teams of people trying to make them look beautiful."

"Like ladies in waiting?"

Pip thought about this. "Yes. Only moreso. It's a fantasy world and you shouldn't worry about trying to look like them."

"Then why do they go through so much trouble and why do the guys like them?"

"Because everyone likes a little fantasy from time to time?" Pip said. Thank you Dr. Grissom. Thank you and your Sociology of Sex class.

Gwynn thought about this.

"So guys aren't really wanting girls to dress like the ones in that Maxim shiny book?"

"Well, some guys? Probably. But I don't think Tim wants you to dress like that most of the time. I mean, I can't read his mind, so I don't know for certain. But I think something a little more conservative would be best for you. Just a guess."

"So... what I wear is okay to guys?"

Pip shrugged. "You should wear what you want. They're your clothes. But maybe trade it up for something new?"

"Maybe I will ask Seras and Nadia and Pippi where I might find other clothes."

Gwynn does not think to ask Pip to go shopping with her since a guy might give opinions.
