Meerkat Campfire, early evening.

After an extremely lazy day of sleeping in late and doing very little other than up finishing threads from yesterday, Isabel wandered out and started the Meerkat campfire. She's got everything needed to make S'mores and coconut angels. Off to the side a CD case is open and the CD is glowing slightly. It's also playing music.

Life is good.

[ooc: Coconut angels are thick slices of french bread that's dipped in condensed milk, rolled in coconut and then toasted over the fire. Sounds bizarre but it tastes great.]

"I bring gifts," Greg called walking up with chocolate cake and a piece of paper (http://pics.livejournal.com/like_a_sponge/pic/00003fq8). "So that Aeryn does not kill us."

"You're only worried about Aeryn?" Isabel asked, eyebrow raised. "Cake is appreciated though. You can put that over on the table. What's the paper?"

"It's a poem," Greg replied, setting down the cake. "And Aeryn was the one who I was told might kill us. Though shooting is apparently too kind."

He strode over and handed her the paper.

Molly came out to join Isabel by the fire. Noticing the CD glowing and playing music, she blinked. "That is a really neat trick," she said with a bit of awe.

Isabel took the paper and read it, trying very hard not to laugh. "I'll be sure to show this to my fellow Meerkats. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure we're not going to kill you." She waved a hand at one of the empty spots around the campfire. "Want to sit and have a S'more?"

"It's useful when you don't want to worry about people tripping over extension cords," Isabel explained. "Of course that's if you even have an extension cord to trip over. Which we don't." She shrugged, "alien-fu has it's benefits."

"As long as you promise not to poison me via marshmallows," he answered seriously, sitting down near her. "How does that work?" he asked, pointing at the CD.

"There will be no poisoning. Not even with Tabasco," Isabel promised as she showed him the small bottle of Tabasco she had sitting next to her. "Sweet and spicy. A campfire, friends. Life is good. Even if I am still finding duck feathers in my stuff."

"Honestly? I don't know. I was switching CDs one day and was thinking about the music on that CD and it started to play."

Molly grinned. "It certainly does," she said. "So, how have your workshops been going?"

Tim was wandering the campsite as he was occaisionally won't to do. He waved at the people. "Hi all." he said. "Hey Molly, I hear you saved my ass a few weeks ago."

Buffy wandered out after her pedicure (omg, mud!) and blinked a little at the glowing CD before sighing a little and sitting down. "Hey all."

"Hi Buffy! Want a S'more?" Isabel asked.

Isabel waved, "Hi new person I still haven't met yet. I'm Isabel."

"Pretty good actually. I've had three somewhat practical ones so far," she said. "Tomorrow is the fun one. Things to do at the beach. Between Jack and Jarod, at least we'll have something nice to look at." Isabel looked very pleased at this idea.

"That's unfortunate about the ducks. Wish I could tell you how they got in there," he said innocently. "And...okay cool, that's another alien thing? But how do you find the exact imprint on the CD?"

"Yes, please," Buffy said politely, then added, "Your cd is glowing. Should it be doing that? Is that a new technology, like emails?"

Bridge pokes his head out of the Pangolin cabin, and, seeing a crowd of people gathering across the campsite, wanders out to join them.

"Hey, people," he says, taking a seat.

"Hey, Tim," Molly said. "Um, yeah, I guess I did. Sorry about just leaving you though. I had to chase after her and then I kind of passed out."

"I'm just chalking it up as another one of those weird Fandom happenings," Isabel said with a smile that said keep trying, maybe someday I'll believe you. She shrugged, "I'm not sure. Maybe I'm subconsciously reading the coding? I never really thought about it."

"So how have your other workshops been?"

"I'm looking forward to that one too," Molly said with a grin. "I know who Jack is, even though I haven't talked to him much if at all, my memory sucks, but I don't think I've ever met Jarod."

Isabel passed over the basket of S'more fixings. "It's my kind of technology. Sort of like how I was moving the ducks out the door the other day."

"Bridge!" Isabel called. "I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?"

"Hey, Buffy!" Molly called.

"Hi Isabel, I'm Tim." he introduced himself. Then to Molly;

"Hey forgiven and literally forgotten. I apparently somehow made it to the clinic anyway. And you passed out? That must have been quite a fight."

"Hey, Bridge," Greg said with a wave. "I brought cake and now they're not going to kill us."

He seemed very proud of this.
