Seahorse common room, Thursday evening

After handwavily running errands and getting stuff done for once, Jaye comes back to the cabin, and the common room. With coffee.

What? It's completely innocent. People needed coffee, and who is she to deprive them of that? It has nothing to do with signs, seriously.

In reality, one day Jaye's just going to stand in the middle of the common room and demand shirtlessness and see what happens.

Cedric's not been back to the cabin site since his workshop so he's tired when he finally does make it back.

He manages a smile for Jaye and takes a seat. "Good evening. You look very awake."

"Three espressos'll do that for a girl," she says. "Was the Crazy Hooker crazy and a hooker?"

"She seemed relatively normal," Cedric says, shrugging. "Nothing crazy about her."

Jaye looks like she doesn't believe him.

"She wanted me to apologize to her stuffed moose," she says.

"What did you do to her stuffed moose?" Cedric asks slowly.

Alec wasn't that far behind Cedric, and might not have gone in the common room but for the smell of coffee luring him there. "Coffee for sharing?"

"...I yelled at it. I was having a really bad day."

She nods. "And it's the good coffee. No watered-down icky future stuff. Good, calorie-laden foamy coffee."

Cedric laughs at the image of Jaye berating a stuffed moose. "And why yell at the moose and not Becky herself?"

"Becky hadn't pissed me off yet."

"Of course," Cedric agrees like that's the most normal thing in the world. "And did you apologize?"

Jaye sighs. "I'll have you know I did not."

"Ah, you braved the possible bad mood of a Crazy Hooker instead of apologizing then?"

"And the crazy magician guy, yeah."

"Foamy?" He takes some, sipping it, and sighs happily. "Mmmm. That's nice." Alec looks at Jaye, smiling contentedly. "So besides supplying coffee, which gets you a free pass for just about anything right now, what's up?"

He really is kinda cute, yes. "Absolutely nothing," she says. "Though coffee equals shirtlessness, there's a sign that says so. Just to put that out there."

Because she can't not. It would be unAmerican.

"You've been making many a friend, haven't you, Jaye?"

"It's a talent," she nods.

"So it seems." Cedric slides further down in his chair, relaxing. "I'm going to miss the cabin."

Alec thinks about that for half a second. And he has to sip the coffee again first, before putting it down and stripping off his shirt.

Looking up at the sign, he grinned. "Did Jack put that up finally?"

"I think I might refuse to leave," she nods. "I like it. I like it, the people and the signs. All good."

"Come on, it's Jack. I'm sure it took three seconds for him to do that," says Jaye. Happily.

"Yes, but what if everyone else leaves and you're alone?" Cedric asks. "No one to go shirtless for you."

"I'm sure I could put in a couple of phone calls," she says confidently. Because at least two of them she knows would do it.

"True. He's pretty friendly. And big on the whole shirtless thing too, which I think I like about him," Alec says, nodding thoughtfully.
