Pangolin: roof. Sometime past midnight

Parker is bored. Bored bored bored bored bored.

And it appears that yes, by standing on the beams around the building, then onto the railing, then shimmying upward, you *can* get on the roof of the cabins.

She has an MP3 player, some binoculars, a flashlight, and marshmellows. Partly for throwing.

She also has a rope ladder, should anyone care to join her up there.

Cally struggled a bit, but managed to get up most of the rope ladder and over onto the roof.

"Hi," Cally said. "Why are you on the roof?"

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Asleep," Cally said. "So, kinda bored myself." She took the marshmallow and popped it in her mouth. "How'd your first week of class-thingies go?"

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Was kind of rough," Cally said with a shrug. "I mean, you saw me freeze up. Guess I wasn't expecting something that heavy straight away."

"Badgers? Naw, we didn't need no stinkin' badgers," Cally said with a chuckle. She took the marshmallow and popped it in her mouth. "So, you actually think people are gonna die in Archery?"

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay, if you think someone is scary? I'm kind of instantly terrified," Cally said, her eyes a little wide. "I don't think I've ever met her. And I'm thanking the lords that I haven't."

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
"Shoeless?" Cally raised an eyebrow. "Like, she's not wearing shoes or is she forcing that on her class?"

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Very carefully?" Cally offered.

"Computers, with Professor Abby," Cally said. "We didn't do a whole lot, but I got my own laptop for the summer session. Which means I get to use a computer unpolluted by baseball related fiction."

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, please," Cally said. "Anything you could say about that, Anders totally deserves. But the falling from laughing, that'd be no frakking good. We totally haven't covered that sort of thing in first aid yet, so I wouldn't know what to do." She winked.

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
Cally choked on the marshmallow she was handed. "It's not exactly like there's really... Hey, you know, that's not a half bad idea."

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
Cally chuckled. "You know, Bridge and I could always take a look at the water heater."

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
Cally yawned. "I'll take a look tommorow," she said. "For now, I think I'm gonna climb down while I still have the energy. G'night, Parker."

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Will do," Cally said. She waved goodbye before climbing back down the ladder and wandering into the cabin.

Briar had been suffering from a bit of insomnia when he noticed someone on the roof. "Good view from there?"

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
Briar snatched at the marshmellow and caught nothing but air. "What was that?" He quickly climbed up on to the roof. "Miss Parker!"

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
"Moss." He corrected her. "If you tell me what it is?"

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
Briar grabbed a few and found himself with the same comment he had about a lot of modern food. "Sugary." He swallowed. "So what brings you up here at this completely normal hour?"

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not too big on sleeping indoors and being cramped in." Briar admitted. "And also bored and not sleepy."

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
"I haven't had to share space with people for a few years, actually. If I could get away with it, I'd sleep in a garden." Briar grinned. "And the workshops are interesting. A lot like home actually."

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
"The classes." Briar clarified. "Like, I have first aide, nature magic, and astronomy which is what I'm learning back home as well. Well, that and how to outrun three stubborn girls. I have my own room back home." He grinned. "And just to freak you out: I lived in the sewers for six years."

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
Briar was still smiling, but his eyes seemed to close off. "No, not voluntarily. Mum died. Landlord decided he didn't have a use for a four-year-old kid. And the girls are my three foster-sisters."

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
Briar shrugged. "Daja's older by maybe a year. Tris is my age and Sandry is a touch younger. Also, Little Bear. But he's a dog and with Tris now."

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-27 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"My room faces the garden. I'm half-way there at all times."

[identity profile] greenmagebriar.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Briar nodded, falling asleep himself. "Sounds good to me."
