Even the threat of storms was not stopping Bridge from preparing for another outdoor movie night. After a totally handwaved trip into town for the neccessary supplies, he sets up a tarp between Pangolin and Koala cabins before once again putting up the bedsheet on the wall.

He's got the fire going, a pile of blankets for people to use, and there's plenty of snacks as well as coffee and hot chocolate in thermoses.

Space Battles, the original trilogy, *not* the prequels, is playing.

Parker had gotten a hot shower (hurray!) then gotten dressed and decided to take cupcakes and croissants outside with her espresso while she ate. None of her bunk mates seemed to be awake yet, so she was sleepily watching the camp wake up.

[open to all, yay]
[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com
So, making a fire? Is a lot easier now that Parker's had a class on it. Also, even though it's nowhere near chilly out, it's just fun to have one. Various bags of junk food and a cooler with drinks have been left behind one log. Parker's trying to figure out if you could make microwave popcorn in a campfire.

[open to all!]

Bridge has tacked a large white bedsheet to the wall of Koala cabin that faces the Pangolin campfire. RIC is nearby, in DVD-player mode, with the second season of Twilight Seraphim loaded and ready to play. There's snack foods, and, of course, s'more fixings, for sharing if anyone else cared to join him.

[ooc: open! come watch dvds outside!]

Anders had moved his things into the cabin and gotten the TV and DVD player hooked back up, and Brandly the goldfish was swimming around in his bowl in the cabin living room. (Anders couldn't figure out why the little guy seemed so animated, all of a sudden.)

And now it was relaxation time. He got the campfire going outside and settled down in front of it with a box of cupcakes, hoping some of his other cabinmates would show up soon.
[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com
Anders has two thirds left of a notebook to burn, so he's out in front of the campfire again with cupcakes, a bottle of Coke because damn it, he's going to have caffeine by proxy since his player can't, and a crackling little blaze going.

The little crumpled-up paper balls look kind of cool when they burn.
[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com
The temperature is in the mid-eighties today even though it seems to be overcast and thunderstorms are threatening, but Anders has a small blaze going at his cabin's campfire. He's sitting, cross-legged, a little closer to the fire than should be strictly advisable, with a notebook in his lap and a large mug of coffee on a flat rock beside him. A tray of cupcakes is sitting on a nearby log -- covered, of course, as he's not that stupid that he'd forget to keep the bugs away from perfectly yummy baked goods.

Every few minutes he tears a page out of the notebook, crumples it up, and tosses it into the fire; when it's burned to ashes he slowly tears out another one and does the same thing. Once every five pages or so, he takes a bite of cupcake, too.

[OOC: Open for SP interaction, but if I disappear I got saddled with another Big Project That Must Be Done By Noon or something. Slooooooowplay after 12 noon until about 6 PM PST, though.]

Tempe sat on the couch in the common room, feet resting on the coffee table, bottles of colorful nail polish sitting on said coffee table.

It was time for a change, she decided, looking down at the remnants of gold sparkly nail polish currently covering her toenails.

Which color to pick...

After removing the gold polish, she stared into the rainbow of nail polish bottles covering the table, as if the answer would suddenly come to her in a flash of brilliance.

And it did.

Today would be scarlet. Deep, sexy scarlet.

[OOC: Open for interaction. Come distract Tempe or steal nail polish. Or just sit and stare at her.]

Parker had started the fire outside her cabin, then brought out several books to read by its light. She is avoiding the impulse toward emo with the determination to think of *anything* else.

There are soft drinks behind one log, and several bags of different chips.

Parker might be staring into the fire more than she's reading.

[open to all, but Parker may, or may not, talk to you. Mostly okayish now.]
[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com
Parker had a date for later in the day with Jarod, but for now? More of the political thriller that Liz had loaned her, and sunlight. Yay for sunscreen, lawn chairs, and short shorts.

[for [livejournal.com profile] time_agent, but also open to other interaction]

Cally had camped out in the corner of the cabin common room, her notebook and a pencil in her hands. She was actually struggling with the whole writing thing, which was probably because as much as she tried, she couldn't really come up with good ideas along the lines that Parker had suggested.

So here she was, hoping that some special muse would hit her or something. Or perhaps someone would interrupt her.

[ooc: Open for whatever, yo]
[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com
Bridge has got the campfire going, with an assortment of junk foods- of both of the roasting-over-a-fire and not kinds stockpiled to share with anyone who happened to pass by.

[ooc: open! like an open thing that is... open!]
[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com
Well, it actually had been kind of fun to be up there yesterday, so Cally scrambled up on top of roof of her cabin. She had with her a canteen and a big bag of M&Ms, so she was set for a while.

She surveyed the campsite, then pulled out her notebook. She had writing to do, as Parker had suggested.

[ooc: Open for interaction, wee!]
[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com
Parker is bored. Bored bored bored bored bored.

And it appears that yes, by standing on the beams around the building, then onto the railing, then shimmying upward, you *can* get on the roof of the cabins.

She has an MP3 player, some binoculars, a flashlight, and marshmellows. Partly for throwing.

She also has a rope ladder, should anyone care to join her up there.
[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com
Bridge is sitting cross-legged in one of the armchairs. The telekinesis ball is on the other side of the room, spinning slowly in midair. Bridge is staring intently at it, working on trying to make it move back towards him.

[ooc: open!]
[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com
So. No TV. That would have to be fixed. Communal bathrooms-- maybe someone could magic them to be private? Curtains for doors. Parker was considering stealing a door later.

Still, could be worse. If she had to room with people, no one that she knew of in Pangolin was a psycho.

Parker yawned, and turned up the music on her CD player, and settled in to re-read The Big Sleep The Giant Nap one more time.

[ooc: open to all Pangolin residents]
