Tyler reclined on the couch, bouncing his basketball against the wall and catching the rebounds.

After sparring with Dawn, Peter bounded into the Common Room. "Evening, Tyler! How goes it."

Tyler bounced the ball one last time and then caught it, clutching it to his chest. "Quiet day," he said. "Almost too quiet."

"Looks like things are going pretty well for you."

"Quiet?" Peter asked. "Metaphorically, you mean?" He grinned happily, "it started off rubbish but got much, much better."

"Metaphorically," Tyler agreed. "All that happened was class and basketball stuff."

He swung to a sitting position. "Did you get a date or something?"

"I saw you at karate. What did you think of the Stickbug form?" Peter asked with a laugh. "Sort of. I thought I'd completely screwed one up, but it worked out much better than I expected today."

Peter wandered into the common room to investigate the thuds. He was carrying the book on the Spartans he checked out from the library earlier. "Hey, what's..." Peter stopped when he saw the ball. "Ah, okay. I thought it was an attack for a moment."

"We're not under attack yet," Peter said with a wave.

"Good. I'm sure it's coming sooner or later, though. Rory was giving me the same kind of truce crap we gave them on Saturday," Peter said as he took a seat.

"Is Rory any good at lying?" Peter wondered. "I think we ought to batten down the hatches."

"God, no. Terrible liar," Peter said. "Not like she was really trying, but still.

Tyler shook his head. "I'm just bored." He tossed the ball to Peter. "What's up?"

Peter caught the ball in his non-book hand. For the record, spider-powers made palming a basketball extremely easy. "Not much. I was just reading. I probably needed a break anyway."

"Too much reading rots the brain," Tyler said seriously. "What's the book?"

"It's about the Spartans," Peter said, holding the book up. He tossed the ball back. "They were a pretty interesting society, really."

Jamie walks in the room looking a little frantic. "Has anyone seen me running around with a sock on my hand?"

"Err, no," Peter said. "Why, are you likely to be running around with a sock on your hand?"

"I made a somewhat wacky version of myself for a workshop today and he got away before I could absorb him back," Jamie said looking a little concerned.

"How wacky are we talking?" Peter asked. He was trying not to laugh.

"Remember that crazy guy from 'The B-Team'? That kind of wacky," Jamie said shaking his head.

"Not so much as a glimmer, sorry," Peter replied.

"Wonderful. Anything happening around here?" Jamie asked.

"Nothing yet. Peter Parker seems to think we may be under attack soon though."
