Not sure of the weather, Jaye takes her chances indoors lounging on the couch. Not that she has anything to do but lounge. Lounging works.

Sam was bored. This probably wasn't a good thing. "Hiya."

"Hi," says Jaye, and adds, "Bored."

"Yup. Raining," she gestured towards the window.

"Woe," she says. "Times like this I think we need a TV. Or like, a monkey to entertain us."

"Would the monkey dance?" Sam asked.

"If we asked it to," she nods.

Rory knocked politely once on the door before hurrying inside and flipping down the hood of her sweatshirt. "Hi, it's storming, so if you're going to tell me to leave do it quick so I don't get all comfortable and dry first," she said by way of greeting.

"Would it listen to us?"

"You're allowed," Jaye tells her, because Rory has a standing invite and because Jaye's too lazy to kick her out even if she didn't. "There's boredom afoot."

"It had better. It would be our entertainment monkey."

"I bring...nothing interesting," she said regretfully, pulling a book from her purse, "unless someone has some deep desire to read Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf aloud, and I'm going to guess that's a resounding 'no.' Can I be bored with you and your feet?"

"True. I wonder where you buy them."

"Internet?"

"Yes," Jaye says. "And you can only pull that book out if you're going to read it in another language. Preferrably Pig Latin. Maybe Esperonto. That would be entertaining."

"Probably. How much do you think they cost?"

"More than I make in a year?" She guessed.

"Yeah, tell me about it," says Jaye. "I didn't know you had a job."

"Pig Latin! Though I could speak real Latin at you and confuse you more. Because confusion at least isn't boring," Rory offered.

"Uh, hey, Alanna," Sam waved. "Everything okay?"

Faithful jumped into a nearby window and Alanna went sprawling on the ground. "Ow. Do dogs hate baths as much as cats do?"

"It's an expression," Sam said. Hey, she'd told the truth twice this week. Once more might kill her with honesty.
