Gym, Monday Morning

Callisto was at the punching bag, savagely kicking and punching away at the bag.

She was doing her best to ignore the dark haired, armour clad woman leaning against the weight stack and critquing her style.

"You're overextending," Xena called out, idly examining her nails. "Honestly, with form like that I don't see how you survived seven days, let alone years."

Dawn, a little embarrassed about how much worse she'd been than English Peter the week before, even if he was a knight, had woken up early to get some extra sword practice in.

She waved to Callisto as she selected a practice sword, but didn't really expect an answer.

Callisto grunted and slammed her fist into the bag, her knuckles making a series of cracking sounds as they connected. "And why should I listen to a single word you say?"

The better gym was one positive aspect of moving back to the dorms. Peter figured he would work on the kicks Pip taught him before diving into actual training.

He bowed to Callisto and Dawn as he came in.

Callisto spared Dawn a nod before returning to her bagwork.

Xena on the other hand...



"Aw, look at the kid playing with the sword. Maybe she grow up to be a killer just like you."

"You want to kill me don't you?" Xena started swaggering over to Callisto. "I'd like it to at least be vaguely interesting."

Dawn stopped mid-overhand motion and looked over at Callisto. "I didn't say anything."

Dawn waved back. "Morning, Peter."

Alanna came into the gym, unsheathing Lightning as she walked. Faithful quickly jumped on to his windowsill.

Callisto nodded back. "Peter."



"I like this one," Xena snickered and returned the bow. "So very courtly."

"I will kill Xena," Callisto muttered as she kicked at the bag. "But you're not her."

"Not you," Callisto pointed at Xena. "Her."

"If I'm not Xena," she said, coming up behind her. "Then why do flinch whenever I'm near you?"

"Good morning, Dawn," Peter replied with a grin. "How does it find you?"

Dawn looked over where Callisto pointed and saw...the wall. "Her who?"

"Alanna," Callisto said as evenly as she could manage.



Xena whistled. "Would you look at that hardware? Pretty damn spiffy."

"Very well, thank you," Dawn answered with her best formal response. "And you? What are you up to today? Glad to be back in the dorms?"

"Good morning, Alanna," Peter with with a half bow from where he was stretching.

"You can't see her?" Callisto asked. "She's right there."



"Forgot to mention," Xena waved to Dawn. "They can't see me. Might try and get rid of me if they could."

Alanna began going through one of her routines and tried to stifle a yawn. "Callisto. Good morning."

"Mo-mo-morning Peter." Alanna finished yawning. "Sorry."

"I don't flinch." Callisto spun around, aiming an elbow at Xena's face.

"I see you," Dawn said slowly, "but no her."

"Morning, Alanna," Dawn said, almost thwapping herself in the head with the sword when she waved.

""Not particularly to answer your last question first. The cabins were fun even without so many strange occurrences." He threw a laughing glance at Dawn. "And it's my no-workshop day so it's simply to be enjoyed. What about you? Do you have plans for this Monday?"
