Gym - after lunch

CD-player and mats were in place, as Buffy waited for the other cheerleaders to arrive. She was hoping Alec would be better today, the poor sick kitty. She kept glancing towards the bleachers like she was waiting for someone.

Once some/all the cheerleaders had arrived, she got up.

"Next Saturday is the first Gremlins game!" Buffy announced, beaming. "So we have to start practicing really, really hard!"

"No, I didn't," Elizabeth promised. "Ew. I won't be going outside if it is, which isn't good considering I have to be for my workshop. I'd rather have French vanilla or lemon."

"I won't be going outside during a rain of pudding anyway," said Janet. "Not if I don't have to. Damn, I think Wilderness Survival is tomorrow, though."

"I have Leadership and Outdoorsmanship. I think the second part of it says all," Elizabeth said, nodding, before taking a mouthful of coffee.

"Good luck wading through pudding," grimaced Janet. "It could be worse. Cal makes us go shoeless for Wilderness Survival."

Elizabeth tried not to giggle. Really. "We've just got minicomps we'll need to be careful with. Although they might be pudding-proof. Who knows?"

"I really hate you today," said Janet, propping her elbows on her knees and resting her chin in her hands. "Are they futuristic? Maybe science of the future has learned a way to pudding-proof their machienery.

Elizabeth pouted. "Now, I'm sure you don't mean that," she said. "They look like it, yeah."

"Of course I don't," said Janet, eyeing Liz's mouth. "They look pudding-proof or futuristic?"

Elizabeth grinned. "Futuristic. I don't really know what pudding proof looks like."

"The only thing I can think of is that they'd be wrapped in plastic," confessed Janet. She glanced down, then up at Liz. "Do I look like an idiot in this thing?" she asked.

Elizabeth looked Janet up and down. "No. Absolutely not," she said, shaking her head.

Janet tried to tug the skirt down again. And failed again. She smiled wryly at Liz. "Okay," she said. "I'll take your word for it." She didn't look certain, though.

Elizabeth pulled her eyes away from the skirt and smiled at Janet. "Good idea!"

"I refuse to enjoy being forced into cheerleading," said Janet. She really, really hoped no one sent Daniel the pictures. But Sam or Liz would hopefully not be that evill.

"I could bribe you?" Elizabeth suggested innocently.

"To enjoy it?" Janet raised one eyebrow. "You can try..."

"Well, what can I offer you?" Elizabeth asked, leaning forward to rest her head on her hands.

Janet pursed her lips together. "While we're here? Nothing. Try me later."

Elizabeth winked, a grin spreading across her face. "Oh, certainly."

Janet's eyes twinkled in amusement, but she smiled innocently. "Oh, good."

"Hooray for being back in the dorms," Elizabeth laughed, leaning back on the bleachers again.
