Gym - Sunday Afternoon - Cheerleading Practice

Marie arrived at the gym early, toting her pom-poms and ready for practice.

She was also carrying what appeared to be a length of PVC pipe, which was decorated with blue and gold glitter and streamers and resting on a blue pillow with gold fringe.

It was time for the Fandom High cheerleaders to have a spirit stick.

[ooc: ~~please wait for~~ ocd up, yay. also? I totally watched Bring It On the other day for research. please do not have your character drop the spirit stick without talking to me though. I have plans.]

"They are good huggers," Willow said.

"Good drunks too," Cameron grumbled.

"Better than the alternative," Willow pointed out.

"You wouldn't say that if you had a drunk gnome hogging your pillow," Cameron argued, because small or not they snored loudly.

"I would if it was an sngry drunk gnome," Willow replied.

"It was snoring," Cameron was pretty sure that topped the angry.

"Did you try duct tape?"

"I don't know, that would have been hard to get off again with the beard and all that," he frowned.

Willow made a face. "Ouch. Good point. Oh! But you could have put it around your bed, sticky side out. It'd be like gnome paper."

"That sounds a bit cruel, though."

"Yeah, I didn't agree with the idea to drown them either," Willow said.

"Who was drowning them?"

"I think Jamie suggested it," Willow said. "I was against it though. They were just being gnomes."

"It still was a relief when they finally went away," Cameron said.

"I have to imagine the gnomes are happy about it too," Willow said. "Unless their natural habitiat is to cling to teenaged boys. In which case I think they need to learn to evolve."

"Yeah," Cameron looked mildly disturbed now. "I think I'm going to have to agree with you and for a first time conversation we've managed to cover a lot of Fandom oddities."

"Does this prove I'm getting the hang of it?" Willow asked, looking pleased.

"I'm thinking you're fitting right in," Cameron chuckled. "But from what I've heard, Sunnydale is good at weird too."

"It's on a hellmouth," Willow said. "Lots of vampires and demons. Gnomes are kind of new though."

"At least you can kill those without feeling guilty," he pointed out. "Well most of the time. When they're evil vampires and demons without souls."

"On the whole? I prefer vampires," Willow said. "Sure the looking at you and seeing an 'eat me' sign on your head - or I guess neck - is a little disconcerting, but on the other hand there's hardly any slime."

"I get that. There's a definite setback to zombies as they really stink and have that whole goo thing going," Cameron pulled a face remembering. "Vampires just turn to dust. A quick shower and you're clean."

"Exactly!" Willow said. "All that's left is trying not to breathe too much of it in. I bet that causes cancer."

"I hope no," Cameron was pretty sure he's breathed in some of the demon he'd tag teamed with Marty.

"So does the world try to end often around here?" Willow asked.
