Third Floor Common Room, Sunday brunch-ish

Omelette time. After a week with Cafe Fina closed, Walter was willing to wait on other people again. At least after a fashion. In this case it meant that he had the appropriate setup for omelettes of almost any variety, a happy hellpuppy underfoot, and a good mood.

He flopped down on the couch, turned on the TV, and found something on the History Channel that wasn't about WWII or war at all for a change. Hurrah for Leonardo da Vinci for distracting the History Channel execs from war for a little while.

"Hello person I haven't met." Pippi waved. "Good morning!"

"Good morning!" Tempe replied, smiling and waving back. "I'm Tempe."

"I'm Pippi." she said, "Nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you as well, Pippi," Tempe replied. "Are you a new student as well? Or are you an oldie?"

"Oh, I've been here since January." Pippi said. "So I guess I'm something in between."

"I see," Tempe said. "So, that would make you a...middlebie? An old newbie?"

She shook her head. Why was she even trying to figure this out? "Well, either way, it doesn't matter. I'll just call you Pippi."

"That's usually for the best." she grinned. "How are you liking camp?"

Tempe grinned back. "It's been an experience like no other. Some odd things have happened, but at least I've met a lot of really nice people."

"Oh that's good." Pippi smiled. "This is the place for odd experiences like no other I think... But they don't tend to last for more then a week... Funny that."

"Yeah, it's almost like there's some greater being controlling the whole thing. To make sure that we experience these things, but don't get overwhelmed by having them last for a long period of time," Tempe replied. "On the one hand, it's kind of exciting. On the other, maybe a little disturbing."
