Third Floor Common Room Sunday Evening: Movie Night

The popcorn was made, drinks were in the fridge, and the stack of tapes was by the VCR. Let the first of possibly many movie nights begin.

River tried the popcorn. Not overly exciting, but they seemed useful for throwing at people. She tried them out at Tim."

Sakurazaki drifts in. Nope, not trying to put off projects or anything still. Not at all.

Still can't quite get over that social anxiety thing, though. Until the movies start, she sticks by the door.

[[and i'll be around spottily, so sorry for any slowplay]]

Pippi flounced down the stairs with a large bucket of ice and bottles of perfectly normal lemonade.

"Hi all!"

[[ooc: Which to Pippi is actually a fizzy lemon drink]]

wynn looked at the popcorn... not sure what it was.

After dropping off something for Nadia, Walter came by and stopped in to watch something that wasn't Bitterwoman or the Hitler History Channel. "Hi, Tim."

Lana poked her head in. "Hey, just stopped in to say hello. Can't stay long."

River tilted her head to the side. She wasn't sure what to make of this.

Sakurazaki adores old films, even if they aren't (ahem, with a slight playful glare toward Tim) old samurai films. She looks pretty enchanted throughout the whole thing.

Gwynn sat down on one of the couches and watched the screen. Her father was much handsomer than the man pretending to be him. However, her eyes shone as she watched.

Pippi watches the movie. Considering that it's not much longer until they move back into the cabins, perhaps watching it is asking for trouble.

On the other hand, any homicidal maniac who comes after Fandom campers will probably get what they deserve before they manage to kill their first horfing couple.

Re: Movie: Alan Rickman as Sherriff Nottingham

Lyta arrived just as Robin of Locksley scored his cut on the cheek of Nottingham. It was a movie she had seen the vid of years ago, though she'd not thought much of it then. Remarkable how much different things looked on the current-century television, though.

"Locksley! I'm gonna cut your heart out! With a spoon!"

She couldn't help but giggle. The line was greatly anachronistic, but just too funny. Especially when followed later with, "Because it's dull, you twit! It'll hurt more!"

Pippi was starting to think "horror" movies should actually be called "stupid people" movies.

This was obviously a popular story as so many films had been made of it. It reminded her a little about the story the Mudders had told about Jayne, and there wasn't much truth behind that.

"Perhaps he just had to leave some money behind and the poor made up this story about him being a hero," River suggested. "He could just have been an ordinary thief."

"Oh, Ice cream! Meiweide!" River said. "Pity Berthold isn't here."
