Anakin? Had time on his hands.

Anakin? Had learned how to make paper starfighters.

This? Was a bad combination.

Sitting on the couch, he controlled seven of the paper missiles through the Force as they flew around the room.

Why yes, he was making little shooting noises as they chased each other. And the crash and burn sound, too.

He just didn't realize he was doing it.

Someone want to point it out?

Anakin gave her a pleased smile. "I like being good at things."

"I know," she said with a smirk.

Anakin smirked back. "I wasn't sure if you had noticed."

"Firsthand, even," Rory said, raising a brow.

Anakin looked smug. Then he leaned down and tossed the ball of paper at Rory again.

Rory caught it this time. "Brat."

"I'm good at that, too," Anakin said, grinning.

"Being a brat? Yes," Rory agreed, throwing it back at him.

"What can I say? I'm an overachiever in everything I attempt," he said. The ball hovered an inch in front of Anakin's forehead, then went zipping back towards Rory.

She ducked, and wondered where her maturity had wandered off to.

"I win," Anakin said, grinning.

"Do not," Rory said wisely.

"Do too," Anakin retorted, pouting.

"Do not," she said with authority.

"Do too," Anakin said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Do not, do not, do not," she said, crossing her own arms.

Anakin had kind of forgotten what they were arguing over.

"Hmph," he said, staring at his boots.

"It's okay. I'm a gracious winner," she said sweetly.

Anakin looked, if possible, even more petulant.

"And there's always a consolation prize...."

Anakin's eyebrows went up. "Really?"

"Yes," Rory said. "It's only fair."

Anakin's bad mood instantly evaporated. "Excellent," he said. "Are there cookies involved?"

Anakin didn't say "yay." But the grin on his face was remarkably "yay"-esque.
