The Gremlins Game - Cheerleaders/Audience - 01:30 FHT

"Go! Fight! Win!" The cheerleaders cheered enthusiastically as the audience shuffled into the gym. The players were already in place, and the gym was definitely ready for game time.

Unfortunately, since Fandom did not yet have any of the Dibblers, no hot pies, hot dogs or rats-onna-stick were being served.

ooc: wait for the holy OCD! OCD is up! Come watch and cheer and mock!

Jack hesitated, then sighed. "Yes," he said quietly. "If you wouldn't mind?" Breaking into a grin, he added, "I might get lost if I go on my own, end up wandering off the path and getting turned into a snake, or a toad, or something not nearly as cute as a fox."

"Of course I don't mind," Sam told him, squeezing his knee. "Especially since you're just humoring me by doing this. And I bet you'd be a cute snake or toad, too."

"Humouring you is a better reason for doing something than others I can think of," he replied, resting his hand over hers. "And I really hope I never find out. I don't think you'd have been so quick to cuddle me if I'd been a toad."

"No, probably not," Sam admitted, "since I'm shallow that way. I'd have left you flies, though, if I could figure out where to get them."

"No one's ever offered to catch me flies before," Jack grinned at her. "I'm oddly touched. But it would have been a lot harder to get your attention if I'd been a toad. And I doubt I would have made it to your door in the first place."

"Hey, I don't offer to catch flies for just anyone, you know," Sam grinned back. "And you'd have found a way."

"To get to the door of a woman who'll catch me flies?" He placed a hand over his heart and threw his head back dramatically. "I'll always find a way."

Sam burst out laughing.

"You really are beautiful when you laugh," he said, watching her, very pleased with himself.

"Thank you," she said, squeezing his knee again. "You seem to make me laugh a lot."

Jack grinned at that. "Good." He put one hand under her chin and pressed a quick kiss to her lips. "I like making you laugh."

She smiled at him after she kissed him back just as quickly. "That works out well then."

"It does," he agreed, smiling warmly at her. He settled back to watch the antics on court, shoulder brushing companionably against Sam's.
