The Gremlins Game - Cheerleaders/Audience - 01:30 FHT

"Go! Fight! Win!" The cheerleaders cheered enthusiastically as the audience shuffled into the gym. The players were already in place, and the gym was definitely ready for game time.

Unfortunately, since Fandom did not yet have any of the Dibblers, no hot pies, hot dogs or rats-onna-stick were being served.

ooc: wait for the holy OCD! OCD is up! Come watch and cheer and mock!

Xander pondered this for a moment, then said, "You're a very complex person, Willow Rosenberg."

"This would've been a whole lot easier if certain people could've just said what color they wanted," Willow said, with a bit of a pout on. "But no. They had to be dumb, dorky boys about it."

"As opposed to the other kind?"

"As opposed to dumb, jerky boys, yes," Willow agreed. Her face then lit up with a smile. "Oh! Xander!"

Clearly she assumed he could read her mind on what she was so happy about.

"That's... my name, yes..." He tilted his head at her.

"We can talk about boys now!" she said, still excited, and acting as though Xander had done the sexuality change just to be an ultra-nice BFF who wanted to bond with her. "And how much they drive us nuts and don't communicate and how them looking at other people makes us want to die and everything!"

Re: Audience

[personal profile] soldtoarmenians 2006-06-18 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Xander rubbed thoughtfully at his jaw. "Okay, you do remember I'm dating Bridge, right? I think the only thing he's ever been uncommunicative about was... liking me in the first place."

"Which was undoubtedly frustrating and only goes to prove my point," Willow said.

Re: Audience

She did have kind of a point, even if it wasn't the one she thought she had. "Yeah, okay, maybe. Insofar as if he'd told me he liked me before he kissed me I probably would've freaked sooner and for different reasons. He's not so much with the looking at other people, though. Occasionally stripping in front of them, yes."

Re: Audience

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
"See?" Willow said, again as though he were only agreeing with her. "Boys can be frustrating. You need someone to commiserate with."

Occasionally Xanders take hints. Or what they think are hints. "Maybe I'm just not used enough to the whole dating guys thing to realize what I need to commiserate on. Clue me in - what else do boys named Peter do that's frustrating?"

Re: Audience

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Right now it's just the being a boy about color," Willow said. "But there are whole issues that come up that those of us who like boys need somebody to talk with. Sure I've got Marie but sometimes you need the perspective of somebody who's been there."
soldtoarmenians: (1-thinking)

Re: Audience

[personal profile] soldtoarmenians 2006-06-18 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Ahhh. Well, speaking as a boy... I'm not sure I can help with the color thing." Xander glanced at the handkerchief. "If for some reason that possibly only girls can understand I was waving a handkerchief for Bridge, it would be green. Because... he likes green. Sometimes guys are uncomplicated that way."

Re: Audience

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Blue and gold are the colors of his home," Willow said, turning the cloth around in her hands. "That worked out nicely. The rest was a lot of pressure. Especially because I wasn't totally sure what I wanted it to say. Especially in the red zone."

Re: Audience

[personal profile] soldtoarmenians 2006-06-18 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Which...is parking for fire trucks and other emergency vehicles only?" Xander peered at the handkerchief, spotting the small bit of red.

Re: Audience

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Willow blushed. "Which is... more red than pink."

Re: Audience

[personal profile] soldtoarmenians 2006-06-18 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Aaaaaaaand pink means something different than red, I take it?" He supposed he didn't have a lot of room to talk here; he'd obsessed as much about the colors of the clothes he'd worn on his first date, if for different reasons.

Re: Audience

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Willow nodded solemnly. "Pink is general liking and friendship. Red's got words like intimate."
soldtoarmenians: (1-neutral)

Re: Audience

[personal profile] soldtoarmenians 2006-06-18 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Wow, intimate? That's kind of a jump. They don't have some in between color like... mauve, or something, that means Like You like you?"

Re: Audience

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
"See, this is what I'm saying," Willow agreed. "Because how do I know I've put in the right amount of red? Or if what's intimate to me counts as intimate to him? We may have gone all red all the time once we passed the stage of holding hands. He's British. It's possible."

Re: Audience

[personal profile] soldtoarmenians 2006-06-18 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
"You passed the stage of holding hands?" Xander, as always, zoomed in on the important part...

Re: Audience

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
Willow eeped.

Then said, "...no?"

"You totally used past tense. Granted dating Bridge I'm somewhat unfamiliar with it these days, but I do recognise it when I hear it."

Re: Audience

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
"There's only been a little hand-holding!" Willow said. "And arms. And smooching."
soldtoarmenians: (1-neutral)

Re: Audience

[personal profile] soldtoarmenians 2006-06-18 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Hmm. I think smooching's more like dusty rose territory," Xander said as if he had a clue what he was talking about. "Arms... kinda depends exactly what got done with them." He rubbed his nose. "I, ah, like arms. Arms are nice."
