"I'm well. You looked as though you had fun yesterday?" he said, making a question of the statement.

"Oh, I did!" Marie confirmed. "And you? Did you enjoy the game?"

Walter grinned and nodded. "It was like nothing I've seen before, which makes it typical for Fandom. I enjoyed myself very much."

"Good!" Marie said. "It was nice doing something like a normal high school for a chance," she added.

"It happens now and then. The Valentine's dance was fairly normal," he said, then grinned cheekily. "I can't say the same of prom, since Nadia and I switched genders for the night."

"You did what?" Marie asked, her face a mask of utter confusion.

Walter grinned because it was fun getting this sort of reaction from people. "I have photos. Nadia and I changed genders for the day. She was a boy, and I was a girl. In all ways. It's Fandom, these things happen more often than you'd think."

Marie was fairly dumbfounded by that.

"How?"

"In our case it was because of some sleeping pills Nadia got from the clinic. They work brilliantly to help you sleep, but the side effect..." he shook his head and smiled. "It was worse the first time, when it was a surprise."

"You did it more than once? Voluntarily?" Marie made a mental note to never take any pills from the clinic.

"The first time wasn't voluntary. I just wanted some help with my jetlag when we were in London for a school trip. I woke up the next morning..." He shook his head remembering how he'd been anything but calm about it. "It wasn't good. The second time was interesting at least."
