4th Floor Common Room, afternoon into evening

The last time Isabel cooked dinner on this scale it was because she didn't want to think about everything that had been going wrong. This time? She's happy. And while it's not goulash, hopefully the gods of good times would appreciate a huge meal of paella and assorted tapas food shared with friends.

The CD was glowing on the counter as she stirred and chopped and Isabel could be found singing quietly and occasionally dancing along with the music.

Ever since this old world began
A woman found out if she shook it she could shake up a man
And so I'm gonna shake and shimmy the best that I can today
'Cause you can't stop the motion of the ocean or the sun in the sky
You can wonder if you wanna but I never ask why
And if you try to hold me down I'm gonna spit in your eye and say
You can stop the beat

[Open to all. Come eat!]

"London, England. 1993."

"That's a little before my time," Bridge admits.

"Really? When are you from?"

Seras guessed that he was from sometime in the future, what with the interplanetary police and everything.

"2021," Bridge says. "Technically, I was born about a year and a half ago."

"Really? So why did you decide to come to Fandom?" asked Seras, "I mean, I came so that I could take courses in law enforcement. But, you already were."

"Well, they're rebuilding the Academy HQ on Earth, and my commander gave me a choice- here, or the Nebula Academy. And Nebula is... boring. So here I am."

Seras nodded.

"Yes, here you are."

She was quite glad to have met Bridge. Thus far, eventhough they'd all been polite about it (politer than the people back home, at any rate) she'd yet to meet someone her age who really shared her enthusiasm for police work.

"So, what made you want to become a Ranger?" she asked.

"I've always wanted to help people," Bridge explains, "and this seemed like a really good way to do... something bigger. Why do *you* wanna be a police officer?"
