After a handwavey walk into town for supplies, Dawn set out a bunch of sandwich fixings, pretzels, chips of various descriptions, cookies, fruit, lemonade, iced tea, and soda.

A small handwritten sign told people to help themselves, so she didn't have to keep repeating herself.

As for Dawn, she sat down with a book to enjoy her hummus with cheese, sprouts, carrots and sweet pickles. Occasionally she sipped from her lemonade.

"Hey, Sammy," Dean greeted his brother when he came in. "So when are we going to do that sparring?"

"Do I tell you often enough what a one track mind you have?" Sam replied, smirking.

"I'm just focused. It's all part of my charm," Dean said with a smirk of his own.

"Oh, is that what you call it? Charm?"

"That's what everyone else calls it too."

Sam had to snicker at that. "That's what they call it to your face at least," he said. "So when do you have free time next?"

"I'm free the rest of today." Dean gave him a challenging smile. "You?"

"I've got my computer workshop in the afternoon, and that's it," Sam admitted.

"Well then..." Dean said leadingly.

Sam sighed, but the rest of his body language made it clear that he was giving up. "If you want to spar some time after my workshop, then we can."

"You could try sounding a little less like I'm asking you to your own execution," Dean pointed out, his brother's lack of enthusiasm making it hard to stay enthused himself.

"Hey, now that you have Dad backing you up and saying to spar with me, there's no telling what you might try to pull on me," Sam replied, trying to sound more enthusiastic for Dean's sake.

"Nothing more than I ever pull," Dean replied with a smirk, then got serious again. "You really don't want to do this, do you?"

"It depends on whether or not we're going to have an audience while we beat each other up. I know Dad'll be pissed if he finds out we haven't been practicing on each other."

"Hey, private, public, I'm up for whatever you're more comfortable with," Dean said immediately. "And yeah, it's important, but don't you find it at least a little fun?"

Sam couldn't help but laugh softly. "In a sick and sadistic kind of way? Yeah, I guess I do."

Dean looked at his brother for a moment assessingly. "I'm not sure, but I think you might've just called me sick and sadistic."

"Actually, I was calling both of us sadistic," Sam replied. "Look, all I'm trying to say is that yes, I know that sparring with you can be fun."

"Well as long as it's both of us..." Dean grinned suddenly. "So do you want to do this in private or with an audience? I'm sure your girlfriend would be impressed to see you go all out."

Sam grinned a little when he thought about impressing Buffy. "Well, I guess a small audience couldn't hurt. Having Buffy and/or Dawn there to cheer us on might be just as entertaining for us as it would be for them."

"My thought exactly. And hey, Dad always says we need to get used to fighting where there's distractions and I can't think of much more distracting than the Summers girls."

"No, definitely not." Sam nodded emphatically. "They might even be enough of a distraction to even out the playing field. Plus, they'd probably understand the benefits of sparring more than other people we know."

"True. Though the ratio of people here who would get into sparring is probably higher at this school than... pretty much anywhere else."

"Yeah, we did kind of luck out in that respect," Sam said. "So, do we want to find a time that works for us and the girls? For the sparring, I mean."

"Yeah, sounds good." Dean grinned. "It's almost kinda a double date."
