Third Floor Common Room, Lunchtime

After a handwavey walk into town for supplies, Dawn set out a bunch of sandwich fixings, pretzels, chips of various descriptions, cookies, fruit, lemonade, iced tea, and soda.

A small handwritten sign told people to help themselves, so she didn't have to keep repeating herself.

As for Dawn, she sat down with a book to enjoy her hummus with cheese, sprouts, carrots and sweet pickles. Occasionally she sipped from her lemonade.

Where there's free food? There is Jamie eating said free food.

He fixes himself a salami sandwich with some cheese and some chips before grabbing a spot on the sofa.

"Pretty good." She said, setting her glass back on the table. "What's up with you? Did I hear something about sock puppets?"

Dawn waved from her spot on the couch. "Yup. Help yourself." Okay, so she'd forgotten about the sign.

"You have an uncanny knack for finding free food," Walter said as he worked on his own free food.

"Hey, Dawn!" Bridge waves cheerfully, fixes himself a sandwich, and flops down on a couch.

"Hey Bridge!" Jamie tried to say with his mouth full and waving a potato chip in Bridge's general direction.

Walter came in wearing his Swedish flag tie and grinned at the sign. He then set about building himself an Empire State Building of sandwiches.

Dawn frowned as something about Walter niggled at her memory. "You're welcome. And do I know you? You seem really familiar."

"Hey, Walter!" Bridge waves.

Sam grinned at Dawn as he came into the common room. "This is a nice setup," he said, grabbing a cookie before looking at the sandwich-type food.

"Hey," Dawn grinned back, "and thanks. I got bored and felt the random need to feed people."

Tyler makes himself a roast beef sandwich with lots of mustard and grabs a handful of pretzels, then slouches into a chair.

Xander wandered upstairs, a little too antsy to hang out in his room, and grinned when he saw the sandwich fixings. "Hey, folks!"

After a quick trip to town (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/923140.html?thread=36209668#t36209668) to aquire a small basket (http://www.simplybaskets.com/files/lg_Antiqued_Mt._Lebanon_Shaker_Ash_Market_Basket_A.jpg), Isabel returned to the dorm, settled her hedgehog boyfriend into the basket, and wandered down to the third floor. Her goal was to find Peter and fill him in on the status of his roommate, but hearing the voices in the common room, she decided to stop there first.

"Hey, Isabel! Have a sandwich." Dawn offered, looking up. "What's with the basket?

"Hey people," Tempe said quietly to the occupants of the room in general. She noticed the sign, and fixed herself a turkey sandwich with cheese and pickles, before taking a seat on the floor.

She broke off part of said sandwich and placed it on a plate next to her. Glitter bounded over to the plate, little kitty eyes gleaming happily at the meal before her.

Tempe took a sip of lemonade, listening to the conversations going on around her.

Molly had actually been on her way to find Dawn when she poked her head into the common room. "Cool. Free food." She went in and made herself a sandwich.

Dean wandered in after karate. "Wow, free food and girlfriend, definitely the room to be."

While Tim didn't mind the Cafeteria food, he found it was more fun to scope the common rooms for food. So it was he found himself in the common room making two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
