Third Floor Common Room, Lunchtime

After a handwavey walk into town for supplies, Dawn set out a bunch of sandwich fixings, pretzels, chips of various descriptions, cookies, fruit, lemonade, iced tea, and soda.

A small handwritten sign told people to help themselves, so she didn't have to keep repeating herself.

As for Dawn, she sat down with a book to enjoy her hummus with cheese, sprouts, carrots and sweet pickles. Occasionally she sipped from her lemonade.

[ooc: Open to all, mod any sandwich fixings or side items you'd like.]

"There's been a few issues so far. Lots of nice people, but I still feel a little lonely," Tempe replied. "It's definitely a lot more exciting than my old one, though."

"I'm not much of a people person," Tempe replied. "Truthfully, walking into a big group of people makes me want to go and hide in a corner until they all leave."

"One on one, it's okay. I just can't handle groups." Which was why Tempe was currently sitting close to a door. Just in case she had to make a quick escape.

Tempe shuddered. "Twenty? Sounds like it would've been great. ...not."

"I do have one-on-one conversations here, and lots of them. It's just difficult to go into, say, a common room and be all effervescent with everybody like Bridge."

She paused. "This conversation is nice. Possibly because you're friendly, and there aren't 20 of you."

Tempe shuddered again. "Sounds like the foster home I was in for awhile. There were four girls other than me, and it was tough enough trying to get into the bathroom just with the 5 of us. 20 would be insane."

Tempe blushed. "I just used Bridge as an example because he was the most people-person I've met yet. Although I do keep hoping that some of his cheeriness and ability to deal with people will eventually rub off on me if I hang around with him for awhile.

"I'll make a note of that," Tempe said. Note to self: Don't ever engage Jamie in a fight. Multiples will ensue.
