Peter had his St. George's cross flag close by as he waited impatiently for the match to begin.  England vs. Ecuador with continued participation in the World Cup at stake.

He had run down to J, GOB ostensibly to get some pastries to share for breakfast but really because he couldn't sit still any longer so there was a selection of muffins and doughnuts on one of the tables.

Now for the football to start...

"Up England!" Pippi chimed as she flounced in.

"Up England, indeed!" Peter replied with a grin. "Hopefully we'll be as happy tonight as Nadia was yesterday!"

"Oh, I'm guessing she may not be so happy this morning." she grinned.

"But yes."

Peter laughed. "True, but it's all in support of her native land, right?"

"One ccertainly can't blame her."

"Did you watch the Sweden-Germany match yesterday?" Peter asked. "That one was tough. Bloody Germans."

"Ugh! Don't remind me!" she said rolling her eyes.

"Hopefully Argentina will steamroll them on Friday," Peter said with a scowl. He turned back to the match on the television. "Shot over the bar THEN a yellow card? Come guys..."

"We was robbed I tell you robbed!" Pippi wailed melodramatically while pumping her fist at the sky.

"Up England!" Walter agreed. "Argentina will have to make it up to Sweden on Friday by trouncing Germany."

"Let's just concentrate on today's game okay Mr. Dornez?"

"Certainly." Walter held out a bottle. "Ginger beer?"

"Mmmm ginger beer!" she said. "Thanks."

"Did you see Nadia last night?" And was she wearing a shirt?

"Yes." Pippi said, "And no."

Walter shook his head in chagrin. "I have to get used to that. She was trying to get me to wear body paint for Argentina's next match."

Willow waved. "Hi, Pippi! Are we rooting for the same team this time?"

"Yup!" Pippi said, "It's very exciting!"

"Up England!" Willow said. "Don't use your hands unless nobody's looking!"

"I think somebody will always be watching." she grinned. "Just a theory."

"I suppose," Willow said. "It does look like a big crowd."

"The golie can use his hands though." she pointed out. "No matter who's watching. It's like... the magic golie power."

"I'd heard about that," Willow said. "Maybe it's to make up for how he's forced to stand there while everybody else has fun running around?"

"True... But he does have the best seat in the house to watch the game... Other then the other golie that is."
