5th Floor Commonroom: Monday Morning - Before Workshops - Pancakes and PJs!

Pippi had put up posters last night. So she got up early to make pancakes, because setting something down on poster board and going over it in glitter is like a sacred trust. Or something.

So here she is wearing a big cotton night shirt and bunny slippers in the 5th Floor Commonroom flipping up a flock of flapjacks to the music playing on her laptop.

She might be singing a little song about pancakes to herself and doing a little dance...

"Mumble mumble blah blah... pancakes don't lie... hmmm mmmm hmmmm hmmmm."

[[ooc: Open! Please ping me off my one OCD comment or I may not see you come in and that would be sad. If you want to get pancakes or talk to Pippi that is. Otherwise, comment as normal. :D]]

Nadia tried to catch it--but missed and ended up with strawberry goop on her PJs. "Hi."

Walter snagged a dishtowel and wet one end of it before going over to help Nadia with the mess on her pajamas. "I'll remember not to test your reflexes first thing in the morning."

Nadia stuck her tongue out at him, then peered back down at her pajamas. "Just haven't had my coffee yet."

Walter stuck his tongue out at her in return. "Then let me get you some coffee before I throw any more fruit at you."

"That'd be good." Nadia wasn't entirely certain why he seemed to want to throw fruit at her, but, hey, whatever. She yawned. "No workshops, today."

"Same here," Walter said, bringing her a cup of coffee. "But I do have to work the lunch shift at the restaurant."

"Hmmm. So long as you're not cleaning the kitchen, I might have to stop by."

"I didn't know I was cleaning the kitchen last week, but I don't think I've given Alfred any reason to pull that one on me again today." He grinned at her. "Which is a shame."

Nadia grinned back. "Should we try to fix that?"

"What do you think I'm going to say to that?" Walter asked, moving closer to her. "Are Mario and Elena going to have to come back for another visit? Camping is an option as well."

"It might be too soon for Mario and Elena . . . but camping sounds like fun,"

Despite the fact that Walter and Nadia often seemed to get into trouble when doing outdoorsy stuff?

"Camping it is. I'm sure I can borrow the proper equipment. When are you doing the breakup ritual with Cally and Anders? Oh, I told Cally to get you to teach her to Schottische."

"That's a very good idea. Though it's not QUITE the same without the weetiny bunnies." Nadia shrugged. "I don't know. I haven't actually scheduled a time or anything."

"The weetiny bunnies had perfect timing," Walter agreed. "I was just checking. I didn't want to interfere with the ritual since I know it really helped me feel better. I do think it's funny that this time you're going to do it with both sides of the breakup."

"Well, this time I've talked to both sides. I didn't really know Logan at all, and with Molly and Victor . . . well. I might have been a little bit biased."

Walter smiled ruefully at that before taking her hand. "Speaking of Blair, I'm taking him to Caritas to get drunk tomorrow night after workshop." His smile changed to a smirk. "It's his first time."

"Really? That'll be interesting. How did you talk him into it?"

"I didn't talk him into it. It came up when we were talking about the fact that I wasn't celebrating England's victory with alcohol. He's quite eager to try it, complete with 'dittos' and a video camera."

"Apparently I could get him to do just about anything by telling him that it's traditional. He's even coming prepared for being ill," Walter said, amused.

"Pippi and I were discussing that, which led to our talking about brewing beer in room 506."

For some reason, it had never occurred to Nadia that brewing beer was something that regular people could do. "That would be . . . interesting,"

"I think it's worth trying. Another skill to add to the list of things to make me 'well-rounded,'" he said with his usual amused emphasis on the phrase "well-rounded."

"But back to Blair. What do you suggest for a first drink? I'm thinking beer or rum."

Re: Ping Pippi for Pancakes

[personal profile] nadiathesaint 2006-06-26 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Rum." Nadia said decisively. "Because if he starts with beer, he would be stuck with beer, or cider, or something. Get the hard liquors in first."
