Fifth floor common room, Friday morning (starting at 11 am)

Nadia was up early, in her swim suit top and a pair of cut offs, sitting on the floor in front of the tv with her tubs of blue, white, and yellow paint.

Even if Argentina didn't win, the game was likely to be intense. She was really looking forward to it.

"Buh?" asked Conner, blinking. "Oh, sure. Why not? Hey, we could even do the whole hardcore fan thing and paint a flag on my chest."

Nadia grinned. "Sure! I don't know if it actually helps, but it's fun, at least." She turned to yell in Spanish at the TV as Argentina got a yellow card.

"Plus, we should always encourage shirtlessness."

"Okay -- geez, yellow card already?" Conner yawned a little and sat up to pull his shirt off. "It's just not the same without the shirtless guys yelling, you know? I'm doing my part to contribute to the atmosphere."

"Yay!" Nadia shook her head. "The captain can't play next game if we win because of those yellow cards. It's insane."

"It's been like foul trick-or-treat all tournament," Conner agreed, shaking his head as he tossed his shirt aside. "Okay, about that paint . . ."

Nadia pulled the paint pots over to the couch, keeping an eye on the television the whole time. "Big flag? Little one?"

Conner was also pretty fixated on the TV the whole time. "Might as well go for a big one, right?"

"I like the way you think." Nadia dipped her fingers in the blue and started smearing it on Conner's chest. "Tell me if I'm missing anything."

"If you're gonna do it, might as well do it right," Conner replied, poking a finger into the blue paint and drawing a stripe down his nose just because, and an 'A' in yellow on each cheek.

Nadia started into the white center stripe. "Absolutely. Hopefully the players'll do that, too."

"Really, really hoping so." Conner held up his crossed, paint-smeared fingers. "These scoreless games are exciting, but wow, do they ever make me nervous."
