Fifth floor common room, Friday morning (starting at 11 am)

Nadia was up early, in her swim suit top and a pair of cut offs, sitting on the floor in front of the tv with her tubs of blue, white, and yellow paint.

Even if Argentina didn't win, the game was likely to be intense. She was really looking forward to it.

"Franco, you suck!" Nadia pounded her fist into the carpet. "And what the hell was that kick, Ayala? You can do better than that!"

"Blame Germany for nearly killing your goalie," Walter said, scowling at the jubilant Germans on the screen.

"There's that, too." Nadia pouted. "Now I'll have to root for Brazil. Again."

"Is that who Germany will be going against?" Walter would be rooting for anyone facing Germany.

"No, they're on the other side, I think. But that's what we do. We root for our country until they lose, and then we root for Brazil."

"If Brazil's on the other side, there's a chance they'll be facing England. I won't be rooting for Brazil then..." He gave her a look that said he'd rather she wasn't either. If he'd taken Scoobying. Who knew what the untrained Look actually said?

Fortunately, Nadia understood that look. "Well, when one is rooting for Brazil, one generally wears little more than strategically placed flags. It's traditional."
