Second Floor Common Room, Saturday Afternoon

After a handwavy trip into town for ingredients, Sam took the carefully printed recipe out of her pocket and laid it on the counter. She'd memorized it by now, but she figured it wouldn't hurt to get some practice in before the workshop.

The fact that the recipe didn't involve an open flame? Well, that was just being prudent.

"So, double boiler...." She began hunting for the appropriate hardware.

Anakin snickered. "I'll be sure to tell my fanclub about it the next time I'm home."

"The almighty Anakin Skywalker washing dishes?" She snickered. "Will that ruin your rep?"

"Depends how I'd spin it," Anakin replied with a cheeky grin. "Add in the right background details--like it was after a fight with a couple of ferocious Jello dragons--and I'm a big hero again."

"So we're washing dishes after we ate the Jell-o dragons from them?" Sam flicked some water at him.

"Could've happened," Anakin countered, splashing water back at her.

"We're not mentioning the massive stomachache afterwards?"

"It's not properly heroic, nope," Anakin replied. "Just like you never mention the trips to the medclinics unless you have some really cool scars to show off."

Sam flicked the towel she was using at him. "Chicks dig scars and all that?"

Anakin gave her an eloborately innocent look. "As a Jedi I have no idea what you're talking about." He laughed. "And I've never made up a story and told it to a group of women about a scar that Obi-Wan might've gotten in a rather sensitive place just to see him twitch." He nodded. "Because that would be wrong." He pursed his lips together in his Obi-Wan impression. "And not at all funny, Anakin," he parroted.

Sam cracked up. "How has Obi Wan not sewed your mouth shut, again?"

"I can run faster than he can," Anakin said, nodding. "But he did send me to this other galaxy once in order to learn to be less arrogant and obnoxious." He grinned. "You think it worked?"

Sam grinned. "Yeah, I think so. It certainly gives you new stories to tell when you get back to the Temple."

"That's true," Anakin said, handing Sam the last of the dishes. "Think the younglings would prefer to hear about snowmonsters or Jello dragons?"

"Gotta be snowmonsters," Sam said, drying the last bowl.

Anakin snickered. "I'll be sure to tell them about Shep," he said.

Sam glanced around. "Anyone ever tell you that was my idea? I just didn't have the equipment to, er, carry out the plan."

Anakin cracked up. "No, I didn't hear that part," he said, wiping tears from his eyes. "Way to delegate."

She bowed. "Thank you very much."

Anakin gave her a well-deserved round of applause before stretching his arms above his head. "I should probably head out," he said, sounding a little apologetic. "Work on the new information Obi-Wan had so nicely left for me in the room back home." He made a face. "He doesn't understand the idea of vacation."

"See you around, take the mousse," she said, taking a last fingerful.

"Mmm, thanks," Anakin said, snagging the bowl. "I'll bring it back clean and stuff," he promised, giving Sam a wave before heading out of the common room.
