Fandom Camp, Main Campfire, Saturday Night

A group of students made their way to Fandom Camp to deal with the demon Lysistratas. It seemed quiet enough, but appearances could be deceiving.

"I didn't. I wish I'd managed to do at least that for him, but somebody knocked him onto my stake," Xander said, a lot more calmly than he felt, but he kept reminding himself that this wasn't the real thing. "But that wasn't Jesse, just something that looked like him. Just like you." He pointed at the thing's wrinkled brow. "Vampires don't leave ghosts."

Jesse looked mildly surprised and then disappeared just as suddenly as he'd appeared.

Xander looked towards the circle where the magic-users had been performing the ritual, and sure enough, the squirming tentacles were gone between him and them. He was guessing that any ghosts that had come after the others had likewise disappeared, as he walked over to join them.
