Third Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Dawn was hanging upside off one of the couches, reading. The television was showing reruns of CFD in the background, but Dawn wasn't really paying attention--the TMI-cam grossed her out.

[ooc: Open to all!]

"Well, I'm not planning on getting detention, but if it happens for some reason I want to make sure it's worth it," Peter said, smiling. "I think you two would get along really well for some reason."

Peter thought about it and laughed. "You know, I actually didn't realize that you did. But that would be another reason for you to get along, I guess."

"She's really creative. Her whole family is, actually, but her parents are musicians so that figures," Peter said. "Her family is punk, she changes hair color frequently, and she used to threaten people with overdue books from the library with a croquet mallet. None of that necessarily applies to you, but trust me, the personalities would mesh."

"I honestly have no clue. It's from before I was even in Fandom. It's just a part of her recent past that I'm not going to question," Peter said, shrugging.

"I just showed up for the spring semester. I wasn't here until January," Peter said. "Zero was here all the way back in the fall."

"'Weird' is such a relative term here," Peter said. "Nah, it was a pretty smooth transition. People here were friendly. Except I made the mistake of trying to hide my powers for a while. That didn't last long."

"Pretty much nothing, actually," Peter said. "People here didn't care. Well, okay, it did help with impressing certain girls. But other than that, nothing."

"Well, some people found out after an incident involving me being attacked by Crazy Hooker and the ninja in the park and I... didn't die," Peter said. "And then more people found out when I was fighting snow monsters with my bare hands. And it was mentioned on the radio. It was either come out or figure out a wildly bizarre and improbable lie that nobody would believe anyway."

"So, basically, I didn't decide to tell anyone. It just kind of happened."

"I'm a lot stronger, faster, and more agile than most people," Peter said. "Plus I can stick to walls. And I have a weapon thing that lets me shoot webbing. There's kind of an arachnid theme, you see."

"No, there was an accident during a school field trip to a science lab," Peter said. "The powers surfaced a couple days later."

"Well, the first couple days - before they kicked in - it looked like I was dying. Then one day, all of a sudden I can do anything and I don't need my glasses anymore," Peter said. "It was a radical adjustment that I really wish I had dealt with better at the time, but it was just such a change."

"That sounds really familiar but from a slightly different direction. I went from an unpopular, smart geek to, well... I was a semi-popular jerk for a couple weeks, but... things changed back for the better after a little bit," Peter said. "And then I was an unpopular, smart geek who punched bank robbers regularly."

"It's weird how many similar people you can find around here."
