Second Floor Common Room [Thursday Morning]

Bridge was bored. So he'd dragged the telekinesis ball out of his room, since he hadn't practiced in a while, and sat down crosslegged on a couch in the common room to do so.

After a few minutes, he had the ball floating in a lazy circuit around the room.

Well, Nadia couldn't knit to save her life, so, really, who was she to judge? "Good job on the radio last night, by the way."

"Oh, thank you," she says, only now realizing that people were listening to her when she did that. "It wasn't exactly planned, but it could have been worse."

[nadiathesaint]

"You guys didn't really leave Jaye passed out on the floor, right? Because she can be mean, but she's actually a very nice person."

[smartestone]

"No, one of her friends came to get her while Aeryn and I were still debating the issue," she says. "I wouldn't have left her. That would just be cruel."

[nadiathesaint]

"Oh good. Though I'm not sure if it wouldn't have been the first time she slept there. She does the radio while drunk pretty often."

[smartestone]

"Yes, I'd heard that," Hermione says, frowning. "It can't be healthy."

[nadiathesaint]

"I thought alcohol was supposed to be good for your arteries, or something?"

[smartestone]

"Well, alcohol does help coagulation, which reduces the risk of heart attack, but there are also effects on the brain and liver, so I'm not sure it's a good trade," Hermione recites.

[nadiathesaint]

Damn right there were effects on the brain. "Have you ever been drunk?"

[smartestone]

Hermione shakes her head. "I leave that to others. I'll probably be the one making sure no one falls off the table."

[nadiathesaint]

"You really should try it, just once. It gives you a much better insight into those around you who are drunk. And makes it easier to tell when someone might fall off the table."

[smartestone]

Hermione really doubts she'll ever do it, but she asks, "You've been drunk?"

[nadiathesaint]

"Ohhhhhhh yeah. Many times. The key is to stop before you get the idea to start hunting the Tequila Cow."

[smartestone]

"Hunting the... Tequila Cow?"

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia nodded and adopted a serious, epic tone: "That devine bovine from who's very teat the golden liquor flows!"

[smartestone]

Hermione is never drinking. "That's... interesting. I haven't heard of it before."

[nadiathesaint]

"Well, if it exists anywhere, it exists in Fandom. Though I think a friend of mine might have found it in Buenos Aires."

[smartestone]

"Really. Have you ever hunted the Tequila Cow?" That may be the weirdest thing she's ever asked someone.

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia blushed. "Um, yes. And the Vodka Goose and the Rum Chinchilla. I didn't have to hunt the Pot Llama, though. Alphonse gave it to me."

[smartestone]

"Um," says Hermione, who can't believe she's having this conversation. "Did you find anything you weren't given?"

[nadiathesaint]

"Nope."

[smartestone]

She's not sure what to say in response to that, so she sticks with, "Oh, I'm sorry."

[nadiathesaint]

"Well, I only look for them when I'm drunk. So that might have something to do with it."

[smartestone]

"What do you think would happen if you tried looking while sober?" Hermione wonders. "Or would that be wrong?"

[nadiathesaint]

"I don't know. It's possible the universe would explode. Or more likely, I'd feel like an idiot since I'm pretty sure the Tequila Cow, the Vodka Goose, and the Rum Chinchilla don't actually exist."
