Second Floor Common Room [Thursday Morning]

Bridge was bored. So he'd dragged the telekinesis ball out of his room, since he hadn't practiced in a while, and sat down crosslegged on a couch in the common room to do so.

After a few minutes, he had the ball floating in a lazy circuit around the room.

Conner nodded at the new guy. "Hey. What's with the glitter, anyway?"

"Am I not allowed to feel pretty?" Anakin asked, deadpan. He smiled. "Kidding. I use it as a tool to practice my own levitation stuff."

"That sounds tough," Conner said, still watching the telekinesis ball. "I mean, all those tiny little pieces?"

Anakin nodded. "Yeah. You have to work up to that many moving parts. I was lifting a lot of rocks for years before I could start on multiple things."

"Guess no matter what you're training for, the basic idea's the same." Conner grinned. "Master the basics before you move on to the tough stuff."

"Well, you can try lifting starfighters with your mind in the beginning," Anakin said, "but it tends to be a little intimidating."

"And if you do it the wrong way . . ." Conner paused. "Is there a mind equivalent to lifting with your knees and not your back?"

"Ridiculously painful headache," Anakin said, nodding.

"What's the rehab for that like?"

"Where I come from? An aspirin and a lecture about getting too far ahead."
