Around the Cabins; Monday Afternoon

Sakurazaki dashes around placing

on the doors of all the cabins.

She is also toting brownies from her workshop earlier that day with the intention of offering them to anyone who stops to chat. Considering that Alphonse helped her make them, she considers them at least partly edible. It's up to her fellow students to decide if they're brave enough to find out.

Peter was sitting on the front steps of Stickbug when Sakurazaki came by. He smiled at her and greeted her happily. "Setsuna! Good afternoon! I've been hoping to see you."

"Peter!" Sakurazaki beams as she waves to him, handing him a flyer. "When did you get back from your trip? How was it?"

"Friday evening," Peter replied, looking at the flyer. "It was...interesting. Lots of fighting, none of it of my choosing."

"Ah, so you returned just as I was leaving." Sakurazaki nods. "Everything turned out well, I assume? You seem to be relatively unscathed."

"Where did you spend the weekend?" Peter asked. "I am, yes. And the problem was taken care of in the end so I can't argue with it too much."

"I found a temple on the mainland that specializes in special curses, so Ranma and I went to check it out." For a moment, Sakurazaki tilts her head just slightly; she wasn't sure if Peter knew much about Ranma at all, much less his curse. "Unfortunately, they couldn't help him directly, but they did give me some information that might help us to track down the cursed springs in China that started it all, which is better than nothing at all."

Peter, who knew Ranma but nothing about a curse, tried to figure out if he was supposed to be aware of this. "Will he be well then? Or is there trouble?"

"Well, the priests assured me that there's nothing to be worried about, but I'm still rather concerned about him still being a girl for so long. After all, the last time this happened, he was back to normal the next day. This time, it has been considerably longer..."

Sakurazaki's worry outweighs the consideration that Peter will probably think she's talking nonsense.

Luckily, Peter's been at Fandom long enough to hold this conversation without feeling overly strange about it. "Is this a Fandom-induced curse? Or something that he experienced before coming here?"

"Well..." Sakurazaki has to scratch her head and think about that one for a moment. "The physical change curse happened prior to his coming to Fandom. But, to the best of my knowledge, the psychological changes haven't happened before...nor...nor have they ever happened when it wasn't something involving me..."

She says that last part as if revealing some sort of new twist in the plot. Was there something more than just a hit on the head bringing out Ranma's female subconscious personality? Her eyes get really wide just thinking about the implication.

Quickly, she shakes her head. "But that's not really important right now...."

"I would think that turning him back into himself would probably be top of the list," Peter said, politely pretending like he hadn't noticed her surprise. "Do you have any leads on that?"

"Just some information on the location of the springs in China," she explains. "But that's still more than what we had before, so we're on the right track."

"Hopefully he turns back before you have to travel to China," Peter replied. "Though, not that I'm making light of the situation, it begs the question - would one rather be turned into the opposite gender or a fuzzy animal."

"Well, he can always turn back..." Sakurazaki's head tilts slightly. "It's just a matter of water temperature. We're looking for the springs for a more permanent solution. If we find the spring, he won't have to worry about turning back and forth ever again...theoretically."

"And I think I'd rather be a fuzzy animal, in all truth, than the opposite gender." But perhaps that was the Ranma-scarring talking.

"Hmm," Peter considered the problem for a second. "Have you tried the library yet? I've heard the Special Collections are rather strange, but they apparently have quite a bit of information. You could talk to Rory or the librarian about it."

"I'd rather be a fuzzy animal too, I think. Just not a bunny."

Sakurazaki nods. "I might just have to do that, thank you."

Her head tilts. "What wrong with being a bunny (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v719/skylie/bunny-1.jpg)?"

"Apparently it also has a sense of humour," Peter said. "When Willow went in, she came out with her fingernails polished."

He grinned. "It just seems undignified. I'd rather be a pony or dog or something."

"Wait...it? You mean the Special Collections?" A look of worry is firmly planted on her face.

"Apparently there was a genie involved?" Peter said. "But around here would you really be surprised if the library had a sense of humour?"

Sakurazaki's eyes drift to the side slightly as she recalls some of Ojou-sama's stories regarding Library Island back at Mahora. She chuckles lightly. "No, no, I wouldn't."

Speaking of Library Island...

"Oh, how is the training going with Willow? Have you had a chance to do much more since you returned, or have you been taking it easy?"

A slight blush takes over her face as she realizes that she has been taking it extremely easy all week...

"We haven't trained yet," Peter said ~~because our muns were too busy over the weekend~~. "But she said she wanted to continue so hopefully later in the week." He paused then continued slowly. "I realised how out of training I was when I got home. Luckily, I was able to get back into condition quickly enough, but I can't let it happen again. Next time I might get someone hurt."

He realised how little sense that made in the 4 days of Fandom time he was gone. "I was at home for two months, you see."

Definately another head tilt. "Two months? Two months actual time, or two months distorted time, like, with a time machine or something?"

"Two month actual time," Peter said. "Time seems to work differently there. When I returned home, I'd only been gone for two days. My brother and I spent two months tracking down and destroying bandits that were attacking the countryside, then I was sent back here so that only four days had passed." He shrugged. "It doesn't seem to make sense, but I'm not arguing. I'm glad I wasn't gone for two months."

Sakurazaki shakes her head. "Oh, no, it makes perfect sense. Well, in an abstract sort of way. It sounds kind of...nice, too. Get to spend so long back home, and return with only so few days passing. It's got to be slightly disorientating, though..."

"A bit," Peter agreed. "The concerns at home and the concerns here are very different as I'm sure they are for you as well. My mind's still reeling a bit at coming back to school and workshops and such..." He paused for a second. "Going back to training, might I ask you the possibility of a future favour?"

Sakurazaki bows her head a little. "Of course, Peter. What it is?"

Peter? Looked slightly uncomfortable. "If Willow keeps training, she's going to need to learn a stretching routine and such for warm up. I'm...not certain it's appropriate for me to teach that to her, and also I'm not certain if girls need to stretch differently. Might you be so kind as to show her if the need arises?"

Sakurazaki's a little slow to pick up on exactly why asking such a logical thing makes him uncomfortable. "Ohhhh." She grins, blushing slightly, then waving a dismissive hand. "Oh, sure, no problem. Although...you don't suppose an Eastern style stetching would interfere with a Western style of training, do you? It's sort of all I know. I imagine it wouldn't matter too much...they're all the same muscles..."

Peter blushed as well. "I can't imagine it would be a problem. Just so she doesn't hurt herself training cold. I would greatly appreciate it."

"I'd be very happy to help," Sakurazaki says with a firm nod and a bright grin.

Peter grinned back. "Thank you. So are you happy with your film?"

"Ehhhh," Sakurazaki shrugs a little. "It didn't quite work out how I'd like, but your footage and interview turned out so nicely! You have to come by and see it, if you're available. This is probably just as much your film debut as much as it's my directorial, right?"

"I'd be thrilled to come see your movie," Peter said with a nod. "I'm sure it's very good. Tomorrow evening then?"

Sakurazaki nods. "Yup. Seven o'clock."

And then smiles lightly. "I don't think I'll need to ask you to invite Willow to come along, right?"

Peter stood up and bowed slightly to Setsuna. "Your wish is my command," he replied, laughing. "I shall certainly do so."

She chuckles lightly. "Good."

"Oh! And you should take a brownie, too." Sakurazaki presents the treats. "I swear they're edible. Probably not by any will of my own, but Alphonse did a wonderful job of helping me in class today."

Peter selected a brownie with a smile. "Thank you very much. I'm sure they're lovely and would be even if you didn't have help."

Sakurazaki gives him quite the skeptical look. "I could have saved my last attempt for my rock-splitting training, Peter. Believe me, be glad for Alphonse's help. Although if you find an eggshell, that's entirely his fault." She chuckles lightly.

He took a bite, chewed, and swallowed while ignoring Sakurazaki's skeptical look. "They are excellent. And completely without eggshells."

She chuckles a little, bowing her head. "Arigato. I'm glad you were able to escape them. But I guess I better go get around to putting these flyers up on the other doors."
