Flamingo campfire, Monday evening

Ivanova hadn't really unpacked, so moving into the cabin hadn't been much of a stretch. An early night had meant that her body had gotten the sleep it needed to kick back onto Fandom time. Now, she had found an Adirondak chair somewhere, got a little crackling fire going, and kicked back to enjoy. Fresh air, open sky . . .

It was good to be home.

"You're back now, that's what matters," Veronica said. "Did you grab the empty bunk on the B side with me, Piper and Chloe or the A side with Cal, Anakin and Xander?"

"A side," Ivanova replied as the mun thanked you profusely. "I hope that's alright. I am just jumping in in the middle of things, after all."

"I'm sure it's fine," Veronica said I assumed you had no idea. "The lack of privacy kind of sucks and the wireless internet tends to drop me a lot, but the campfires are nice."

"I think it's the lack of privacy I'll really be minding," she mused, looking towards Maia. "But I suppose I can learn to deal with it. Are we here for the rest of the summer?"

Veronica gave an understanding nod. "No, we're just here for two weeks," she explained. She leaned forward and lowered her voice. "You could probably sneak back to the dorms for a night or two though."

A considering eyebrow went up. "That idea has some merit," she said neutrally, eyes returning to Maia.

"Not that I'm planning to do anything like that," Veronica added quickly. "But the building isn't locked up."

"Of no. Of course not. I'll forget you even mentioned it."

"Did you get a room on the first floor with the rest of us?" Veronica asked.

"Handwavey Yes. But I've barely seen it. I got in too late Saturday to get my keys, and then last night we were out here."

"They're pretty nice," Veronica said. "They're like little apartments, not regular dorm rooms."

Ivanova grinned. "That sounds great. Not that I would have minded a normal dorm room. Without a roommate this time, maybe." Not that Lyta had been around much when not down with a migraine . . .
