Flamingo campfire, Monday evening

Ivanova hadn't really unpacked, so moving into the cabin hadn't been much of a stretch. An early night had meant that her body had gotten the sleep it needed to kick back onto Fandom time. Now, she had found an Adirondak chair somewhere, got a little crackling fire going, and kicked back to enjoy. Fresh air, open sky . . .

It was good to be home.

"Well, I hope it doesn't end that way for me," Alphonse laughed. "How've been things since you got back?"

"Busy." She grinned, nodding around at everyone. "I'm going to have to hide to get some peace. I didn't know I would be so missed."

"Of course!" Alphonse chimed. "Don't tell me you'd think everyone would forget you."

"Well . . ." That had been precisely what she had been thinking, to be honest.

"Silly," he teased. "I would never forget you. I still got that box-thing you gave me too."

Ivanova blushed.

"Hey, c'mon now, what makes you think we would?"

"Prior experience," she replied dryly.

Alphonse gave Ivanova a look. "Well, history doesn't always repeat itself."

"I'm beginning to see that," she chuckled, looking around.

"See? You've been missed, we're thrilled to have you back, and I bet you're going to love running your workshop."

"I probably am, too," she laughed. "I'm going to be a nervous wreck Wednesday night, though."

"Aw, don't worry too much," Alphonse said. "I'm sure it'll run smoothly."

"I'm going to be having nightmares about a sea of blank faces as I stutter out my inadequate lesson plans," she said grandly before slumping. "I really need a hobby."

"Well, it's natural to be nervous when it's your first time doing something like this, but I don't think you'll screw up."

"Hey, at least no one gets killed if I mess up." Yes, for a Russian, that was the bright side.

Alphonse frowned. "What? That's..." He paused. "It'll be fine, Ivanova."

Ivanova waved a hand dismissively. "Oh, Al, since I'm back and everything, just call me Susan."

"Susan?" Alphonse blinked, then shook his head and chuckled. "Some of you guys are really confusing about your first and last names."

"Hey, I don't let just anyone use my given name," Ivanova teased lightly. "I've been in the military so long I sometimes forget to answer to it."
