Camp gym, morning

Cameron had no classes today so he didn't need to get up super early to get in some quality training before Veronica arrived. Still, he's already there and working his way through a couple of drills.

Veronica showed up with coffee. She hadn't slept well the night before. She waved half-heartedly at Cameron.

"Morning. I see that you're flowing over with enthusiasm," Cameron remarked as he put down the weights and sat up to look at her.

"Didn't sleep well," Veronica said, yawning. "These beds aren't very comfortable."

He hadn't had much of a problem with the beds, but then he could pretty much sleep anywhere. "Maybe you got spoiled in DC," he commented.

That got him a little smile. "As a matter of fact, I did," Veronica said.

Cameron grinned. "Ah yeah, Archie's a true gentleman," he said as he got to his feet and made it over to her. "I take it you had a nice trip then?"

"Yes he is and yes we did," Veronica said. She looked up at Cam and then down at the mug in her hands and back up at Cam. "I have to put this down now, don't I?"

"Technically, it'd make great self defense if you threw hot coffee on me but I think I'd appreciate it if you didn't," Cameron nodded in amusement.

"Note to self, no throwing coffee on Cameron, got it," Veronica smirked, taking one last gulp before setting the mug down and looking at him expectantly. "Okay, teach me."

"How about learning another sort of kick?" Cameron suggested.

"Whatever you say, boss," Veronica told him, doing a couple quick stretches.

"You know, I think if we're going to go for titles that maybe you should call me Sir Cameron," he smirked as he went to grab the focus mitts.

"Don't hold your breath," Veronica said. "So did you do anything interesting this weekend?"

After starting off his morning with the discovery that ZOMG Parker had lost a bet, Anders went for a jog in the preserve and came back to the gym, Pyramid ball in hand, to practice taking rebounds off one of the walls.

"Hey, Mitchell."

"Yo, Anders," Cameron nodded at him. "Long time no see. How's it going?"

"Eh." Anders was already warmed up, but did a quick series of arm and shoulder stretches anyway. "All things considered? Not too bad, I guess."

"You don't sound too sure," Cameron frowned.

Anders shrugged and tossed the ball lightly against the wall. "I'm not sure I should be doing this okay so soon after the breakup, that's all."

"Doing what so soon after?" Cameron asked confused as he somehow doubted Anders was talking about practising pyramid.

"Having fun and acting normal?" Anders replied. "I feel like I should still be all . . . in mourning, or something."

"Mourning kind of blows, man," Cameron told him. "Take it from someone who's been there. Maybe it just shows that you needed the break?"

"I guess," Anders said reluctantly. "I still didn't want it, but I guess it's better than sitting around and not moving for days, right?"

"Yeah, it is," Cameron agreed. "It will drive you up the walls otherwise. If you need to keep busy, you can always come hunt me down and we can go for a drink or something."

"Me drinking leads to me making out with people," Anders said quickly. "That gets me into so much trouble."

"Yeah well, I promise to hit you if you try to make any moves on anyone," Cameron said.
