Seahorse steps: Wednesday Late Afternoon (after workshops)

Jack was stretched out on the grass near the steps, basking in the afternoon heat -- shirtless, of course - he was back in Seawhorse, after all.

Oddly enough, he was also reading a book he'd handwavily picked up after his workshop. It wasn't as battered as Sam's copy, but the cover was the same.

There was a box of J,Gob's savoury muffins near his elbow, which he'd happily share, and a bottle of sunscreen, which he'd more than happily rub on share with anyone who wanted to join him in shirtlessness.

After she closed the library, Rory wandered over to Seahorse to see if Jaye was around.

Okay, fine, she was going to ogle shirtless boys, but since Jaye had invited her, ostensibly that's who she was coming to see.

"Hi Jack!" she greeted, waving. She peered at the cover of his book, and exclaimed, "Ooh, Le Petit Prince! Or, well, in English, anyway."

"Hey, Rory." He shaded his eyes as he grinned up at her. "Let me guess, you read it in the original French?"

"Oui, c'est un livre très mignon," Rory answered smoothly, flopping down onto the ground. "I have a thing for languages. But it's a great book, even if it seems like it's written for children."

Molly was on her way back to her cabin to change in hopes of catching at least a bit of cheer practice when she saw Jack. She walked over and stood, hands on hips, blocking his sunlight until he looked up at her.

Jack may have flinched slightly when he saw who was blocking his sun, but he folded the corner of his page, and sat up. "Hey, Molly. What's up?"

"What exactly did you say to Cam in class on Monday?"

Demyx was more than happy to enjoy the view on his way back to the Squirrel cabin.

Jack spotted Demyx out of the corner of his eye and grinned, lifting his book in a wave.

The blonde grinned, waving back. "You look pretty comfortable," he commented.

Cally wandered past on her way from Flamingo.

"Oh, hey Jack," Cally said. "Haven't seen you in awhile."

"Cally!" Jack sat up, dropping his book on the ground. "How are you doing?"

"Erm, okay I guess," Cally said. "Nothing bad's happened to me so far today, so pretty good, actually."

Getting closer to sundown, Parker wandered by with her camera. And slowly grinned.

"Pose for me?"

Jack immediately rolled onto his back, folded his arms behind his head, and stretched, grinning up at her. "This do?"

"Perfect." Parker grinned, and took six shots, getting steadily lower to the ground, until she was shooting from Jack's feet upward. "The theme is 'blue.' But Veronica asked me not to get her in trouble. So you can keep the cut-offs." She snickered. "How's your day going?"

Tim had slept late that day and was now on his way to nowhere in particular, whistling the theme to The Andrew Griffin Show.

Jack lazily lifted a hand in his direction.

Tim waved back. "Takin' precautions against skin cancer I hope?" Tim said.

Well after cheerleading practice, D'anna returned to the cabin.

"Hey, Jack!" She called as got close.

"D'anna, hey!" Jack waved at her. "How have you been? Want a muffin?"

"I'd love a muffin! After practice, I'm absolutely famished!" D said.

Zero was wandering about camp looking for people to pester talk to when she saw Jack and decided to say hi.

"Well, hey there. I'm Zero. We've met, but Parker said you got mindwiped again, and I think I was a kitten anyway. Are those muffins?"

Jack laughed. "Hi Zero, yeah, I got mindwiped again, you would have made an adorable kitten, and please, have a muffin."

Carter was already giggling as she spotted Jack. "There's the exhibitionist. Need someone to do your back?"

"Sam!" Jack hopped to his feet and snagged her into a tight hug. "If you wouldn't mind. I did the best I could, but I know I missed bits."
