Koala Cabin, Late Afternoon

Bel shimmered over to Koala with his and Phoebe's stuff and the kittens, then lounged outside the cabin, enjoying the heat. The humidity he could do without, but the heat was almost like home.

"Wow, must be nice to be almost invulnerable," Dawn nodded.

Bel shrugged. "I have weaknesses. I just don't share them." He grinned.

"Well, duh." She rolled her eyes at him. "Otherwise you get everyone who thinks they're a demon hunter going after you, just because you're a demon."

"That's why I have you," Bel said. "You protect me from the demon hunters."

"I do?" This was kind of news to Dawn.

Bel grinned. "You got between me and Dean, remember?" he said. "That could've turned out ugly."

"Not one of my best moments," she admitted with a shrug. "I mean, getting between an arguing demon hunter and a half-demon? Kinda stupid."

"Or brave," Bel said. "I mean, you've tangled with demons yourself, haven't you? Not many people would've jumped into that situation."
