The Gym - Monday Morning

Peter made his way to the gym when he woke up Monday morning.  He headed straight for the heavy bag.  It had been far too long since he'd worked on hand-to-hand.  Plus he needed to screw up his courage for further apologies.

He grinned delightedly. "Do you really? If you ever want someone to fence with, you'll let me know? I'm always hoping for more sword users here."

"I don't use an actual sword - just epees and sabres," she admitted, gesturing vaguely to the equipment. "They're ball-tipped and kind of girly. But sure, I'd love to fence with you sometime if you're good with letting me use my prissy little sabres. "

"They're not girly," Peter protested, ready as ever to defend his swords. "Just a different type of weapon and style."

Rory grinned. "I don't think they are. I'm just used to hearing that response from people who see them."

"Good," Peter grinned. "I'm getting a bit defensive about swords around here with so many people certain that their guns are the only plausible method of fighting."

Rory rolled her eyes. "What's funny is that guns don't work against the most dangerous enemies I've fought here. People should know alternate methods."
