This calls for pancakes.

Lots, and lots, of pancakes.

Maybe a few eggs and a rasher of bacon five yards long. (Okay... Maybe no that much bacon.

There's definitely coffee.

"You're the second person who's said something like that to me in three days," Anders said, laughing. "I might start believing it soon."

"How many more people need to tell you before you actually start?"

"I never got a definite count," Anders said. Then, considering, he added, "I guess we could set that number at zero."

Pippi nodded.

"Excellent." she said. "So. We gotta whip you back into shape huh?"

"That is pretty much about how it's looking, yeah." Anders polished off the last of his pancakes and contemplated a second helping. Hey, Chapman hadn't said anything about laying off the pancakes, right? He could totally run it off later, too.

"Well, we'd better get some teams sorted out when classes start again." Pippi said. "'Cause basketball season will be over huh?"

"I think so, yeah." Anders took a gulp of coffee to stave off the yawn he felt coming on. He yawned anyway and sputtered a little bit on his coffee. "Maybe we can come up with some new moves that nobody'll expect, even."

"Oh yes, I think we could probably come up with something. That will get you on the Caprica Galaxy Trotters."

"That might give me a bit of an edge. But can I dribble a Pyramid ball out the window of a bus at 60MPH?"

"That's the idea ya." Pippi said. Is it fair to other Pyramid players that Anders will be training with a bunch of crazy super human people to hone his reflexes to a razer sharp edge?

"I would have no problem with that," Anders declared.

Did he really have any misgivings about any unfair advantages this sort of practice might give him?

Not particularly, no.

"So, how does Pyramid work?"

"Well," Anders said, "take basketball and rugby, mash them up together, and stick the mixture on a triangular court and you've pretty much got it. Or the basic idea anyway."

"So it's a lot like sex. Just a lot of pushing and shoving and getting the thing in the hole?"

"That's pretty much what it is, yes. Hey, there's some passing and defense in there too," Anders half-protested, grinning.
