5th floor Common Room - Monday Monday morning.

It's Monday morning.

Everybody is back in the dorms.

You realize...

This calls for pancakes.

Lots, and lots, of pancakes.

Maybe a few eggs and a rasher of bacon five yards long. (Okay... Maybe no that much bacon.

There's definitely coffee.

"I can't but agree with you there," Peter admitted. "Though I'm not particularly looking forward to the rest of this day either."

Sakurazaki doesn't particularly want to seem nosy or that she's prying, because she wouldn't want others to do the same to her. Always a good way around that. "Mind if I ask why?" she tries cautiously. "Or would talking about it only make its impending doom worse?" She assumes impending doom by the tone in his voice.

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter sighed and lowered his voice. "I've pretty much been avoiding...people - person...since Saturday. Though I hope it doesn't cause impending doom."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Sakurazaki leans in on impulse at a lowered voice, as her mind works to put things together. "Were you afflicted with a strange personality on Saturday, too?" she whispers. "Or is it something else entirely?" Because she knows very well that she'd been avoiding someone since Friday, and it had nothing to do with all the weird personality changes from Saturday.

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"Strange personality, yes," Peter said, shaking his head. "Which somehow caused me to think I was someone else with - hmm, a different girlfriend. I've been avoiding Willow ever since. Not that it's been difficult as she has the flu. So I was an idiot and am avoiding her while she's sick because I don't want to know how she reacts to the idiocy."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Sakurazaki frowns, noticing quite a trend with these strange personalities. And for Peter's tactic. Her whispered tone turns stern. "Do you really think avoiding her is the best way to handle this, Peter?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter grinned at her sternness and held his hands up in acknowledgement of it. "Not particularly no," he told her quietly. "But I also don't want to know if she won't forgive me so..."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Sakurazaki's eyes narrow slightly at his grin; this wasn't a grinning matter! Ugh. Boys.

"It would be much more difficult for her to forgive you for something that you did against her consciously than it would be for something that you did against her unconsciously." Perhaps not Buddha-wisdom, but the finger's still pointed and dispensing it.

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"This is very true," Peter agreed, more seriously. "But I don't like to test that theory. And I don't like to put responsibility on a 'spell'" he said the word with disgust. "even if I had no control over it."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Sakurazaki sighs. "Whether you'd like to put the theory to the test or not, Peter, it's not like you can avoid Willow and the issue forever...I mean, if I had found out that Jude was trying to avoid telling me about what happened, then I'd definately be a little less likely to forgive him. Well, granted, with that situation, I was the one who brought it up to him because he didn't even realize that it had happened, and he would have kept just thinking it was all a dream if I hadn't mentioned something, so I guess using us as an example is kind of moot, but, whatever, that doesn't matter because my point still stands." Scowling at her flustered attempts to explain, Sakurazaki crosses her arms over her chest. "I don't think it's a good idea to avoid talking to her about it." She nods conclusively.

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter looked down, playing with his fork. "She's been ill all weekend, and it seemed rude to disturb her while she's not feeling well, so it has been easy to put off. And Willow's" He discarded several reasons and adjectives - still hurt from before, touchy, worried, apt to want to kill him - before settling on "so very sweet, that I don't wish her to be upset at all."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"I can accept the illness thing," Sakurazaki decides, "but only as long as it doesn't just become a convenient excuse for not telling her at all." She sighs, definately ready for a topic change, and starting to feel a little concern for Willow. "What kind of illness has she got? Nothing...too serious, I hope?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"It seems like some sort of flu," Peter said. "Not serious enough to take her to the clinic, but enough to keep her in bed for the weekend. She should be getting better today or tomorrow or she'll be going to the clinic if I have to drag her."

He paused and looked at Sakurazaki measuringly. "So what happened during your weekend that makes you happy it's over?"

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, there was the strangeness of shifting personalities...I wasn't afflicted, but I have had to deal with some of the after effects....But I did get into a really terrible fight with Ranma and just...I don't know, there are some things from home that have been bothering me lately. With the weekend over, I hope I can find enough things to do to distract me from thinking about them too much..."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ah, because of Jude?" Peter put the pieces together. "That does make sense." He grimaced sympathetically. "I can't fault your wish to stop thinking about things that are bothering you as I do the same, but if you'd like to discuss it ever, I'm your friend." Then he added. "Or if you'd just like to have a good spar or sword training, I can help with that as well."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Sakurazaki probably misinterprets things a bit, which sort of makes her response a little one-tracked, face instantly pink and a flurry of frustration rushing from her. "No, no!" she says hurriedly. "Ranma and I didn't fight because of Jude! Why would we do tha--err, I mean, we were fighting about..the...stuff...back home and..."

She cuts herself off with a deep breath, hand on her head for a moment. Ugh. Get a grip on yourself, Setsuna. She sighs. "Yes, perhaps a spar later on would be rather nice...."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, no, no, apologies," Peter said quickly. "I changed subjects in my head and forgot to let you know, I think. I meant that you dealt with the musical madness on Saturday because of Jude. As for Ranma, I've only spoken to him once, but I can't particularly see where it's his place to criticise or fight about your dealings with your home."

"Perhaps we could then," Peter said with a nod. "I am going to go visit Willow when her mun is back but after that perhaps?"

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-24 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Sakurazaki sighs, blushing rather emmensely for the fact that, boy, she sure blew that one out of proportion, didn't she? She nods slightly. "Or maybe tomorrow. No rush, really. I went for a flight yesterday, so I'm still a little tired and should rest today, anyway."
