Fourth Floor Common Room//Tuesday Morning

As happy as Seras was that Pippi had been kind enough to buy her a cell phone as a pre-birthday/Christmas present, she'd be a lot happier if she could figure out why Edgar, her errant cellular, did half of the stuff he it did.

Things like waking her up at 5:30 in the morning by playing 'Rock the Casbar'. After she'd spent a late night at Caritas hanging out with Nadia.

Still, the early rising had given her a chance to handwavily run into town and pick up croissants and danishes for anyone who cared to join her. So, maybe Edgar knew what he was doing, after all.

Seras had them set up on the table along with some fresh fruit and was now curled up on the couch with a newspaper. This, however, she hadn't bought in town. She'd found it outside her room's door.

Before coming to Fandom, Seras had taken out a subscription to the London Times, and it seems that it had finally caught up with her. Reading 1993's news in 2006 might seem odd to some, but Seras had completely missed the ten or so years in between, and at the moment she was absorbed with news from home.

Without another word Jamie quickly assumed the position and began performing the heimlich maneuver.

"Jesus, are you alright?" Pip asked, genuinely concerned.

"Would it help if I hid somewhere where you couldn't see the dress?"

"Sorry," Pip said, helping himself. "Should've warned anyone who might be eating."

"Found a way to use your item yet?" he asked conversationally.

"You okay now?" Jamie asked looking concerned.

Jamie then handed a bottle of water to Seras. Granted it had nothing to do with choking but it seemed like something he should do.

Jamie grinned. "Does she still have badgers showing up for no good reason?"

[identity profile] multi-madrox.livejournal.com 2006-07-25 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"I liked the badgers. Kept things interesting," Jamie replied. "But the woman can veer at a moment's notice. She spent the first class period kicking me."

"Not really. She was just trying to make me duplicate," Jamie said matter-of-factly. "Sorry, you knew I was a mutant right? I can take any kind of kinetic energy and use it to create a duplicate of myself. Simply put? You hit me hard enough and you get several copies of me."

"I constantly get penalties for having too many people on the field," Jamie said with a chuckle. "I'm not freaking you out am I?"

[identity profile] multi-madrox.livejournal.com 2006-07-25 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well that's good I guess. Where I'm from a lot of people can do what I can do. Well, not multiply but there's a lot of mutants and superpowered folk that are around. Is there anything like that where you're from?"

"Yeah. I can get how this place can break your brain sometimes," Jamie said sympathetically. "Or steal your voice or make you fight dragons made of jello and let's not get started on the pudding shall we?"
